Wednesday news: KNCI and Lebanon photos, chartgazing and more...

Bucky Covington enjoys a laugh on stage at the KNCI Country in the Park concert in Sacramento; photo by the very talented Minnie, who shares more of her beautiful images from the performance in her fantastic Photobucket gallery. Thanks again, Minnie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

Looks like we've got another quiet news day ahead--but come tomorrow, the live-concert whirl begins all over again. Bucky hits the Kansas State Fair on Thursday with Sawyer Brown, and on Saturday, he returns to Kentucky for the Poage Landing Days celebration. (Raisin' the Bar tourmates Cole Deggs & the Lonesome will also be there.) Here's the scoop on both concerts--if you'll be nearby, make plans for an exciting night of live music!

And of course, our September Concert Roundup post and the tour page on Bucky's official site have lots more information on Bucky, Rocky, Don, Shaun and Hans' travels this fall. I can say this from joyful experience now--a Bucky Covington live show is a night to remember!

Photo of Bucky on stage at Fergie's in Lebanon, KY by the very kind Buckybaby; click the image to visit her Flickr photoset. Thanks, Buckybaby!

Memories of Bucky's recent shows are popping up, too--the KNCI site has posted four photo galleries featuring lots of great shots from last Sunday's Country in the Park show. (You'll find some fantastic sunlit images of Bucky on stage in Vol. 3--this one's especially cool.) And the very kind Buckybaby just posted some beautiful new shots from the Fergie's show in Lebanon to her Flickr photoset--huge thanks to Buckybaby
for sharing the fun!

We'll wrap it all up for now by taking a look at the charts, where Bucky's new tune, "It's Good to Be Us", is making a nice just-released splash. It's currently #52 on the weighted chart at Mediabase and #48 on their Top 500, but once again, today's numbers don't tell the full story. Last night, Country Aircheck listed Bucky's new single as the second most downloaded new release, as reported by the main supplier of downloads to country radio stations. That's a very good indication that a nice bump on the charts is on the way--and that Bucky's voice is on its way to your FM speakers. (Check out Team Covington this morning for a beautiful trade ad celebrating Bucky's "most added new single" status--thanks, Kathy!)

You can help make a good situation even better, of course--
request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station, and be sure to give Bucky's local WKML in Fayetteville a visit, too. Put in a good word for Bucky's new one at country@wkml.com (online listeners welcome) then tune in to the stream at 6 p.m. ET to see how he does...

More very soon--thanks for bearing with my tech problems this morning. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Sales numbers are in.....Keep in mind that this is the worse sales week in Soundscan history.
Bucky moved up 132-130, falling 13% to the mid-4,000s (rounding up to 5,000). His total is 270,000.

Bucky's ADW fell off the top 200 download chart. Total dowmloads of ADW total 170,000

  3. Hey--thanks for the info, Marzy/Anon! (Wonder why this week was a Soundscan bust? Hmmm...)

Nice to it "It's Good to Be Us" back in the Top 5 at WKML...have a feeling it'll be there for a good long while. :)

That boy sure looks like he is having a blast! Sales will perk by up as G2BU keeps on climbing up the chart. He will gather some new and younger fan with this rocking song!

  5. Hi, Anon--he sure does, doesn't he? I think you make a good point about "It's Good to Be Us"--it will definitely float the CD sales boat, and the tempo is a nice contrast to his first big hit. Versaility is a good thing. :)

    Thanks for stopping in!
