Looks like there'll be a lot of fun memories from Bucky's weekend shows coming in as the day rolls on--and this beautiful blog entry by a professional photographer who enjoyed last night's Poage Landing Days celebration is a great way to start your Sunday. She's posted four terrific shots from the show, and she says Bucky "did a fabulous job of entertaining the crowd and put on a terrific concert "--complete with excited teens rushing the stage. "What a fun filled-night!" she concludes. Yep, Bucky was once again a hit in Kentucky!
Another rave review turned up this morning, courtesy of a kind Rockingham native who celebrated his daughter's birthday at Bucky's House of Blues show in Myrtle Beach with his family. (Nice birthday gift, yes?) "The crowd was great and loud, showing amazing support for Bucky and he ate it up and the whole band performed great." he says. "I was really impressed and fully support the Hometown kid and his band (including his twin brother Rocky on drums). Bucky and crew should do really well.. I see big things for him!" Huge thanks to both bloggers for sharing the fun...
Today, Bucky hits the River Rock Amphitheater at the Jackson River Sports Complex in Covington, VA for an afternoon show; not much information about this one was made available online--although this flyer (.pdf) is a help--but if you're in the area and would like some last-minute info on the show, please call 965-6360. We'll put in a plug here for our September Concert Roundup post and the tour page on Bucky's official site -- Bucky, Rocky, Don, Shaun and Hans are amazing live, and you'll want to check to see when the tour bus pulls up to your town. Be there for the excitement!
The excitement's brewing on radio, too--Bucky's new tune, "It's Good to Be Us", is poised to hit the Top 40 very shortly. It's currently #42 on the Mediabase weighted chart and #43 on the Top 500. (Yep, we can indeed help make that Top 40 status happen a little faster; request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station, and if you happen to hear it on your FM radio, call up the DJ and tell them you loved it...)
More very soon--have a sweet Sunday!

Those are some wonderful shots, Pogo! You feel like you're right there, enjoying the music--I've gotta give Ms. Thacker some serious applause. :)
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for the great comments. I have to say that I enjoyed this photo shoot. Lots of people can sing but not everyone can entertain and that is what Bucky did. He entertained the crowd!
