Bucky Covington strolled out to greet fans before his Lycoming County Fair show back in July; photo courtesy of the_mumbler, who shares more beautiful shots and videos from the concert here. (Thanks again!) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes , WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club. Here's a very quick look at what's happening today:
Bucky, Shaun, Dan, Hans and Rocky are set to rock Kentucky yet again tonight--hope you'll be there, too. Below, you'll find the details on the Black Gold Festival show:
Saturday, 09/22/2007
Black Gold Festival
700 Main Street
Hazard KY
Website: http://www.blackgoldfestival.com/
Ticket info: "All concerts are free of charge and will be held on Main St. at the Ampitheater next to City Hall."
Directions: Mapquest
And if you can't catch Bucky and company in Hazard, you'll be able to enjoy him at your newsstand soon. Susan kindly left a note in the Chatbox about an upcoming Country Weekly story--looks like there's a "Seven Questions with Bucky" feature in the Oct. 8th edition for our reading pleasure. Keep an eye out for the issue, and for the Chevy/Country Weekly Country Music calendar, which should be hitting the racks in October, as well. Thanks for the heads-up, Susan!
Listen to Bob Kingsley's Top 40 countdown this weekend and you'll be doubly delighted--you'll hear a sweet request for Bucky's music, courtesy of a letter written by our friend Janie! We're not sure whether whether "A Different World" or Bucky's new tune "It's Good to Be Us" will be played in response, but we are sure that it'll be a blast to hear both Janie's words and Bucky's music in the spotlight. Congratulations, Janie!
A quick peek at the Mediabase listings shows Bucky's latest single starting Saturday in some familiar territory; "It's Good to Be Us" is again #42 on the Mediabase weighted chart and #41 on the Top 500, with bright red bullets on both. Request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station today--can you think of a better choice for a long, sunny late-summer drive with the one you love by your side? Some songs are made for Saturdays...
We'll wrap it up for now with a quick reminder about the semifinal phase in the banner contest at Bucky's official MySpace blog--hop on over there today and choose your favorite! You don't have to be a friend of Bucky's on MySpace to vote; it's a simple poll, and there's no logging in or registration required. But while you're there, you might as well add him to your MySpace friends list, yes? It's a great way to keep up with all that's going on in Bucky's busy world.
Have a beautiful Saturday!
