Quick Saturday news: Bucky in Kentucky, Sirius audio and more

From our "most requested photos" file, here's Bucky Covington on stage at the Turning Stone Resort, 7/27; photo by the very kind Janie, who had a great time at this memorable show. You can enjoy more of her fantastic concert shots here . Thanks again, Janie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

It's a very quiet Saturday morning--but the fun at the Poage Landing Days festival in Ashland, Kentucky will begin any minute now. There's great music all day, from a traditional fiddle contest at 12: 30 to Bucky's performance at 9:45 tonight. (Get there a little earlier, and you'll enjoy Halfway to Hazard, Cole Deggs & the Lonesome--don't miss these guys, y'all!--and Jamie O' Neal before Bucky, Rocky, Shaun, Hans and Don take the stage to close the show with a bang.) Have fun! Here's a quick look at the details again, if you're lucky enough to be near Ashland tonight:

Bucky and Rocky in Kentucky: this great Covington Brothers duet shot was taken at Fergie's in Lebanon KY last week by the very kind Buckybaby. Click here to see more of her images from the show. Thanks again, Buckybaby!

For those of us who are geographically disadvantaged this evening, there's always the radio...and it's getting easier to hear Bucky's latest hit-in-the-making, "It's Good to Be Us", every day. It continued its steady climb yesterday, landing at #45 on the weighted chart at Mediabase and #44 on the Top 500. (Yep, it's only been only been officially released for five days, and Bucky's new one is already knocking on the door of the Top 40--gotta love the sound of that!) Request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station--and if you're not sure whether your local station is currently playing Bucky's new one (or if you're just not sure how to reach them!) the BuckyCovingtonFans MySpace blog has an amazing list of stations and links for you. Kudos to the fans at BCF for all their hard work and dedication!

And speaking of radio, here's an online satellite bonus from the kind people at Sirius New Country 61--click here to enjoy audio snippets of Bucky's interviews from the "Daily Bucky" feature earlier this summer. Bucky's always a delight in interviews--and if you're a Sirius subscriber who'd like to hear more of him (talking and singing!) be sure to use that request line number on the New Country homepage and let them know.

We'll close for now with another reminder about that banner contest at Bucky's official MySpace blog --enter your design by Monday, September 17th and you could win a personally- autographed photo from Bucky...nice way to redecorate for fall, yes?

More soon--enjoy your Saturday!
