Coffee break news: Ross County update and a bit of hot dish...

Bucky Covington rocks it onstage at the Cancun Cantina in Hanover , 8/24/07; photo by the very kind Aikenseeker.

If you were one of the concertgoers affected by the sudden deluge in Ross County last month, there's news about your ticket exchange options at the Chillicothe Gazette today:

The wait is over for Bucky Covington fans who were hoping to use their Ross County Fair tickets to see him next month.

Southern Ohio Events, who brought the American Idol finalist in for a rained out show on Aug. 9, has announced the ticket exchange procedure for the new show. The new concert date is Sunday, Oct. 14 at Shoemaker Center on the campus of Ohio University-Chillicothe.

Details on the ticket exchange are available here
, and if you didn't have a ticket to the Ross County Fair show, you may still have a chance to attend this one after the exchanges are over; a limited number of seats will be made available for $10, and any remaining tickets on the day of the show will be sold for $15. More information is available at southernohioevents.com, or call 772-9222--hope to see you there. (For directions to the venue, head over to the OU-Chillicothe site.)

And Bucky's Raisin' the Bar tour with Jason Michael Carroll got a mention in Hazel Smith's Hot Dish column at CMT today--kudos to Mrs. Smith for the kind shout-out to her Carolina boys!

Finally, it looks as though the "It's Good to Be Us" banner design contest at Bucky's official MySpace blog is off to a running start today--click here to see some beautiful entries, and to find out how you can win an autographed photo just by being your creative self. (The song is off to a running start, as well--it closes the day at #52 on the Mediabase weighted chart, and it's gone Top 50 on the Top 500 as of this afternoon, with a #50 finish.) More soon!--Winnie
