A sneak peek at Wednesday...

Bucky Covington charms the crowd with a song during last Sunday's WSOC listener cruise; photo by the very gracious Happydays. You can enjoy more of her great concert shots here. Thanks again, Happydays! Bucky's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

(I'll be gone for in the mornings for the next few days-- jury duty calls-- but I wanted to have the handy links for the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts right up top for you. If Bucky's "A Different World" is officially Top Five by the time you read this, feel free to get the party started!)

Bucky's video for "A Different World" will face a head- to-head challenge on Wednesday's CMT Power Picks, which begins at 12 noon ET; click here to go directly to the Power Picks main page. Bucky's matchup will happen about mid-show, so at noon, hit the "Vote Now" button, keep that voting window open and get ready to mouse-click away...

Looking for souvenirs from Bucky's recent concerts? BusyGemini was at the Barnstable County Fair show last weekend, and she graciously shared this link to her gallery of shots from the day at the Fox boards. (She also posted a three-part video of Bucky's "I'll Walk" performance at YouTube--thanks for sharing the fun!) And here are two "official" photo galleries you'll love--WGNA's Countryfest photos are posted at the station's site, and from way back in the spring, here's 94.9 Star Country's Flickr photoset from the Kenny Rogers/Bucky Covington/Linda Davis concert in May. Bucky's current concert schedule is listed at his official site--come on out and enjoy Bucky, Rocky, Don, Shaun and Hans when they hit a stage near you!

And of course, keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations. Top Five is a signpost to celebrate in style!

Finally, a shoutout to a very good friend--AmaTexMom is in our thoughts and prayers today as she prepares for surgery this coming week. Here's wishing one of Bucky and Rocky's sweetest fans all the strength and love in the world.

I'll be back late this afternoon with a full post--see you then, and have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. Good luck Winnie! I was one of those weirdo's that enjoyed jury duty lol I had always wanted to see how it all worked. I got called right after I was 18 (which is just a little while ago lol) and have never been called again hee

Well Bucky needs some TV appearances soon to boost those sales...according to Ken Barnes @ idol chatter Bucky sales took a fall to just over 8k a 5% drop for a total of 231,000. ADW was up 1% to 8000 for a total of 131,000 downloads. Kellie got a major boost from her GMA appearence and from the CMA fest special. She jumped to #99 on the album sales chart with 7k in sales. Bucky went from #83-#91 on the same chart. I do not know where Bucky is on the Country album chart yet. I really wish Bucky would of been featured. He could use the boost....

ITA about the TV appearances - I hope Lyric has something in the works because I think this album has many more legs with the right boost. And as I've said before, Bucky really does need a new single soon. It's been over 6 months and it's been a great run but he needs to pull in new fans. Looks what Teardrops did for Taylor Swift's sales. I'm actually hoping that ADW peaks pretty soon and I think it will. Hopefully within Top 5. I think it's going to have a hard time making #1 with so many big, new songs on it's heels but never say never I guess.

I think you are forgeting a step....ADW still needs our total support because Bucky having the #1 single in the country might be just what is needed to get him on network TV. A new song will not help that at all for a long long long time. And network TV will boast album sales lots more in a bang than any new single will. S

So everyone please keep requesting ADW...it has a good shot at the top. :D

Exactly last annon... ADW hitting #1 will boost CD sales FAR more quickly than a new single will. It will take a long time (months I'd say) before a new single will be heard enough to show any influence on CD sales. But a #1 song being heard all over the country would be a huge boost :)

Plus the HIGHER this single goes the easier climb the next single will have as people are more familiar with him and his music. Remember that TODAY for the VERY FIRST TIME someone new heard ADW and fell in love with it. Airpal is increasing every day for this song and more and more people are hearing it everyday :)

keep requesting ADW... lets get it to #1 :)

Reba may have passed (she is the only one that has been close for a while now) but there are three peaking (Keith, Kenny, Big N Rich) so there is a LOT of room to move up. And we have a very nice mediabase bullet so the sky is the limit :) :) Requesting and not "giving up" on ADW is very important right now.
