Sunday news: CMT Insider, chart gazing and more...

By request, Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington (on drums) share a word with the audience at Bucky's recent Lycoming County Fair show; photo courtesy of the_mumbler, who shares more great shots--and videos!--from the concert here. (Thanks again, Mumbler!) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes , WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

Looking for a little fun on a lazy Sunday? Hop over to CMT.com. Besides their excellent Bucky Covington message board and plenty of video and online radio options, Bucky's also featured in their current Interact section. Today's poll asks which climbing Top Ten country single you like the best; if you're a big fan of Bucky's "A Different World", mosey on over and let them know! You'll find the Daily Poll on the left hand side of the Interact front page.

Bucky was also spotted in a preview for next week's CMT Insider--a friend reports that the teaser asked "why is Bucky Covington being mobbed by a huge group of teenage girls?" Sounds like that fun little mystery will be solved next weekend; check here for airtimes.

There's no mystery about "A Different World" and its chart momentum--it's moving on up! This morning's Mediabase charts show Bucky's hit debut single rising a spot to #6 on the Top 500, and holding that beautiful #5 position on the weighted listings.
Keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations--and even though Bucky's off the countdown (for now), keep voting for the "A Different World" video at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown, too. Letting GAC know that Bucky's debut video is a favorite paves the way for his next one to make a huge splash!

Bucky, Rocky, Shaun, Hans and Don have a few days off--the next show on Bucky's official schedule is August 9th, when he and the band will hit Chillicothe, Ohio for the Ross County Fair. The show will also feature Jonalee White (who was selected as one of 2007's top emerging artists at CMT), and part of the proceeds will benefit Rock for Tots. Come on out, have a great time, and support a great cause, too!

Over at the Bucky Truck Stop at Rawkhands, a kind concertgoer posted her short but sweet recap of Bucky's WE Fest performance in Minnesota. "HUGE crowd -- 50,000 or so. They seemed to like him," she reports. "Got lots of applause." We're hoping that many more memories, recaps and photos from that show and from Bucky's concert at the Oregon Jamboree turn up as time goes by today. Stay tuned!

Have a lovely Sunday--see you very soon...
