A very quick Wednesday update...

Bucky Covington rocked out at the Rodeo Club in San Jose, CA earlier this summer; click here to enjoy a big and beautiful Yahoo photo gallery by Sunny. (Thanks again, Sunny! Please note--you'll have to log into Yahoo before viewing the gallery.) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy, iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

Real-life duty calls, so we'll have a delayed but complete post here a little later today. (I promise!) In the meantime, check out the latest Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, where Bucky's "A Different World" holds that sweet #10 spot again this morning. Will we be looking at #9 on that weighted chart on the next update? Keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and keep the faith--it's looking good!

Also on today's chart watching agenda--the Radio & Records/BDS singles rankings should be updated later today; bookmark this page and check back for the latest. And of course, the AboutCountry "Album of the Year" poll is in full swing, and Bucky's brilliant debut CD is well worth our heartfelt voting support. (We'll sneak a couple of extra voting links in here, too--"A Different World" deserves some applause at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown, so hop in and let them know Bucky's video is very much loved.)

Finally, Kathy at Team Covington has a fun blurb from the Detroit News about Bucky's upcoming Michigan State Fair show--enjoy! (Thanks to Becky for the tip.)

Edited to add a bit of info about last night's "The Daily Bucky" on Sirius Satellite Radio's New Country (Channel 60) --Bucky sang an beautifully-done acoustic version of "I'm Good" last night, complete with a funny preface about how he'd said that prayer many a time growing up. Listen for "The Daily Bucky" at 9 p.m. ET on Sirius New Country tonight--and if you're not a subscriber, head to the channel's homepage for a link to their free online trial offer.

More very soon--see you this evening!--Winnie

Any word on "The Daily Bucky" from Tuesday night? I was wondering what song Bucky sang.

Minnie, Since you have this forum, maybe you could arrange a "vote in" for Bucky on the album of the year site. It sure would be fun if a whole bunch of us got on at a certain time during the day. When you are voting and you see his numbers jump by more than one vote, it's exciting. It's great to see so many people come out and vote!

  3. Hello, Anon and Anon! My apologies for not being able to get a full post going this morning --I'm sneaking on here mid-workday but will try to update as soon as the "to do" list is finished.

Anon 11:36, Bucky sang an fun acoustic version of "I'm Good" last night, complete with a cute preface about how he'd said that prayer many a time growing up... :) I'll add that out front in a moment.

And Anon 11:50, that's a great idea! I am not sure what time will be best for everyone, but I will definitely use your "vote in" concept in the next real post this evening--that could be fun. Thanks!

Awesome! I can vote during the day (when I'm supposed to be working), so I'm on throughout the day. It's just alot of fun to see those numbers take BIG jumps and that lets you know that other Bucky fanatics (like me) are voting too. Kelly Pickler has taken a huge jump in the last 2 hours, so we need to stay ahead of her. Thanks, Rachel
