Tuesday news: Indiana calling, and the roar of the charts...

By request, Bucky Covington performs at the Complete Country Show at the Greased Lightning® Daytime Stages at Riverfront Park on Thursday, June 7 in Downtown Nashville during the 2007 CMA Music Festival. Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club. (Provided by Country Music Association. Photo: Teresa Montgomery/ CMA.)

A quick news sweep to start off a busy Tuesday:

Bucky, Rocky, Shaun, Hans and Don will be rockin' the Kosciusko County Fair later today; the midway opens at 1:00 p.m., and Bucky's performance at the Grandstand happens at 7 p.m.. Have fun, Indiana fans--enjoy the concert, and dig into some of that fairground cuisine for us! You'll find Bucky's 2007 concert schedule at his official site--and if you haven't heard him live, you're in for the summer treat of the year. Go! (And bring a camera...)

"A Different World" is lookin' exceptionally lovely at #10 on both the weighted and Top 500 charts at Mediabase. (Yes, we're all still doing the Top Ten happy dance. Can you blame us?) Keep requesting Bucky at your favorite local and streaming country stations--and show the video some love at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown , as well. A Top Ten spot on the weekly Radio & Records/BDS singles chart is the next big milestone--a very doable one, indeed, with our help.

And here's a fun chart-related note from our friend Buckyflowers; Bucky's gracing the Mediabase Top 500 chart in three places today. Along with the sweet Top Ten position held by "A Different World", Bucky's album tracks "American Friday Night" and "I'll Walk" came in at #181 and #189, respectively.

Hits Daily Double is shaping up to be a wild ride as always on Tuesdays--the album sales estimates for the week wind up later this afternoon. At the close of yesterday's updates, with 56% or so of retailers reporting, Bucky Covington occupied the #47 spot. Billboard's Top Country Albums chart will be posted on Thursday; it's looking like Bucky's impressive stay in and around the Top Ten of that chart will be extended yet another week. Stay tuned!

And to wrap things up for now, a news blurb about Bucky's Top Ten status on country radio hit the front page at AmericanIdol.com yesterday evening. (It's always good to see the show braggin' on their newest country star!)

Full post later today--see you in a little while!--Winnie
