Photo by Aaron Crisler/ Music City Update.comBucky Covington should be taking the stage at the Jamboree in the Hills in Ohio right about now--his performance is scheduled for 1:50 p.m., on a lineup that includes fellow GAC Christmas tour performer Steve Azar, David Lee Murphy, Sawyer Brown, and headliner Neal McCoy. (Sounds like a fantastic day of music to us!) Bucky's official tour schedule at BuckyCovington.com lists his next date as July 27th at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York, and tickets are available through Ticketmaster.com. Enjoy Bucky, Rocky, Don, Shaun and Hans in a lush showroom atmopshere, and be sure to check that schedule for more great shows all summer long. No matter what style venue you choose, one thing's for sure--these guys rock the house.
And while you're visiting Bucky's official site, check out the results of the "Picture It" contest --the category winners have been chosen, and some beautiful photographs by Bucky's talented supporters are in the spotlight. Congratulations to jackieblue, divers, misfit42 and bucky911, and thank you for sharing your gorgeous images with us!
On the radio, Bucky's "A Different World" is enjoying its official big hit status--it remains at #8 on the weighted chart and #10 on the Top 500 as of the a.m. Mediabase report, and the opportunity we talked about yesterday is still knocking (rather fiercely, in fact) today. This should be an exciting week on the charts, with some mature hits falling and some very big superstars moving up fast. Keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and put in a few extra requests if you're so inclined! We've got our eyes on the Top Five, y'all--it's very doable, and Bucky's beautiful debut single deserves to be heard as often as possible. (It sounds like Bucky might be heard speaking on the radio next weekend, as well--an American Country Countdown listener reports hearing a promo for an few words with Bucky on the coming week's show. Stay tuned and listen in...)
Click the image to vote for Bucky Covington in the second round of the AboutCountry "Album of the Year" poll, now through July 23rd.Vote as often as you like, and feel free to repost this graphic at your website or MySpace.
We'll close for now with yet another reminder about the AboutCountry Awards poll--Bucky's debut album is nominated for "Album of the Year", and the voting has been intense! Please head over there now and put in a good word (or several sets of scrambled numbers) for Bucky Covington. The voting ends at 3 p.m. PACIFIC time tomorrow, July 23rd, and the winner will be announced on the 24th. Needless to say, all hands will be needed on deck Monday all day long--more on that a little later.
Just remember--online polls are fun, but Mediabase, Billboard and your local radio station are where the rubber really meets the road when it comes to Bucky's long-term career. We'll be voting like crazy--and requesting like crazy, too. Coffee or Red Bull, anyone?
More later today!

Good morning! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Zach, he had a great time! My mom is the kind of grandma who takes them out looking for bugs, frogs etc lol So he ended up with a guinea pig, 2 hermit crabs, a tree frog, and a small tank with one of those little swimming frogs and a snail. I may kill her lol
