A Saturday night reminder...

Bucky Covington charms the crowd at the Kosciusko County Fair in Indiana; photo by the very kind Buckaholic. Click here to enjoy her fun recap of the show at the CMT message boards, or head on over to Flickr to enjoy her album. (Thanks, Buckaholic!)

It's evening here on the East Coast-- time for those great syndicated country radio shows to put the beat into your weekend fun. If you'd like Bucky's single to be a part of your Saturday night drive, be sure to request "A Different World" before you head out the door. Chances are good that either Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen, Danny Wright All Night or the Bo Reynolds Show are playing on your local country station now, or will be very soon--their sites all have handy contact information, and their shows reach the whole country. Let them know you're listening!

(Edited to add links to some more great concert memories and images--enjoy Buckybaby01's excellent Warsaw concert recap at the CMT boards, and hop over to Team Covington for links to Kristy's sweet MySpace blog account of her show at the Lycoming County Fair, along with some beautiful photos. Huge thanks to all of Bucky's generous fans for sharing the excitement of his first solo tour!)

I was just looking at the R&R chart and noticed how long it does seem to take newer artists to reach top 10 status. Jake Owen has been on that chart now for 40 weeks and he is at (I think around) #7 or #6 can't remember which. But According to the chart Bucky has only been on it 25 weeks. So I think Bucky may still get higher into the top10 before we see a major decline in spins.
#1 maybe????? Anything is possible. Honestly I am surprised to see he reached top 10 considering Kellie P only went to #15 with RHH.
Sorry for my thinking outloud just thought a would share. Bucky is doing increadably great for a new artist.
    GO BUCKY GO!!!!

  2. Feel free to think out loud--it's fun! And I agree with you on "A Different World" still having some chart climbing to do yet. For most of us, I'd bet, this is our first time ever watching a song climb up the charts from its very first day of release--and as you pointed out, the country charts really do move at a leisurely pace. A #1 is a very possible outcome.

And Bucky's doing incredibly well! Terrific song, awesome voice, great fans (and new ones joining the bunch all the time) and excellent radio support. Really, when we look back, this is such an amazing journey he's on, and it's just getting going.

    Thanks for stopping in!
