A friend mentioned how much she missed seeing this "gentle grin" above the CMT message board for Bucky--we're happy to help. Bucky Covington smiles for the camera in a photo taken at the Golden Oak Ranch earlier this year. Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club. There's a new feature on CMT.com that's definitely worth a closer look: Calling All Fans, in the "Interact" section, is a fan oriented mini news-blog within the site. You can help program the online "Fan Favorites" radio station there, check out the latest contests--including a new Jennifer Hanson sweepstakes--or hop over to the Calling All Fans message board, where a kind Bucky Covington fan has just posted the first thread for him. Have fun!
Looks like Bucky was also a "fan favorite" at the Jamboree in the Hills this past weekend; in an interesting article about the audience's mixed reaction to some of the lineup, writer Seth Staskey of the Ohio Valley Times-Leader noted that Bucky was a crowd-charmer:
Former American Idol Bucky Covington was one of the well-received acts of the weekend. He cranked up his hit single “A Different World” late in the show and even ventured out into the crowd to give high fives and fist pounds abounding.
Your next chance to catch Bucky live happens Friday, July 27th at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York; tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. As always, be sure to check out Bucky's official tour schedule for the latest, and here's hoping to see you at a live show soon...
Chartwise, things look pleasantly familiar this morning--Bucky's "A Different World" remains at #7 on the weighted chart and #8 on the Top 500 as of the Tuesday a.m. Mediabase report. (How I love typing single digits...) There's still some attractive chart real estate ahead--keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and beautify your TV with a vote at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown, too.
Hits Daily Double fires up its rolling album sales estimates at approximately 7:30 a.m. Pacific; with the final results coming later today. (Tuesday is always full of interesting shifts at HDD--hang in there!) Billboard's Top Country Albums list makes its appearance online later this week, and naturally, we'll keep you posted on the very latest.
And finally, Bucky's current chart successes are part of this week's big Idol sales roundup at Ken Barnes' "Idol Chatter" blog at USA Today. Mr. Barnes notes: "Bucky has cause to celebrate: A Different World, his first single, becomes his first official top 10 song this week, moving 11-10 on the country chart. He joins Carrie and Josh Gracin in achieving that milestone..." We're celebrating here, too. Congratulations, Bucky!
More very soon--see you later today...
That tricky photographer....I bet she put his hair like that on purpose...it so make you want to reach right into the computer screen with your hand and brush to the side those wisps over his eye. :O
ReplyDeleteBucky is sure a cutie! :)
I love this shot, too--hope Kristen and Bucky work together again! She's a fantastic photographer and they must have really clicked--all the photos are beautiful. :)
