Good morning, America! Bucky's in the Top Ten again...

GMA at CMA Music FestivalIt's definitely a good morning for chartwatchers-- as predicted, Bucky Covington, Bucky's debut CD, moves back into the Top Ten on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with a rumored confirmed 8% increase in sales this week. And if you're on the East Coast, your good morning is about to get even better-- ABC's Good Morning America begins at 7 a.m. ET in most areas (check your local listings for time and channel), and Bucky, the Wreckers, and a few hundred of their closest friends will join Sam Champion on the rooftop of Graham Central Station in Nashville for a live broadcast from CMA Fest. Turn on that TV now, grab a fresh cup of java, and enjoy! We'll have a full post for you here later today. See you in a little while-- Winnie

What the HELL, I thought Bucky was performing today. The show is over now.

  2. You and me both! It was great to see him, he got some nice national face time and the interview was fun, but we all would have loved a performance.

(It was listed as "performance by" or "musical guests" Bucky Covington/The Wreckers in several places--was the info in some of the papers wrong or was there a change of plans?)

  3. Ladies - of course I had to leave at 8:20 to make sure the kids got to school. I missed it.... Though it was funny, they were in the car already waiting for me and daughter comes to see what's taking so long. "You're watching TV" How funny, since that's my line....

  4. Pizzi, it was pretty short but sweet--Bucky's interview (no performance) was nice. GMA does archive some segments online at their official site, and hopefully ABC News isn't blocked for you--I'll keep an eye out for other news about it and let you know if I find anything good. :)

My guess--and this is just a guess!--is that ABC will be including his performance later today (and/or tomorrow night's acoustic spot) in the CMA Fest special in July. It would have been nice to get one today, too, but that primetime spot will be wonderful. Fingers crossed!

They showed more of him at the end of the show..the mc asked him who he was looking forward to seeing and he said The Wreckers , who were standing on the other side of the mc..he was adorable..and then at the very end a long shot of him. I think we central people got to see more than the east coast. No performance but it is his personality that grabbed us . His voice could be heard when they showed his gorgeous video. I think it was very positive publicity. BTW, he had on that lucky Red Opry shirt. Looking good ! BF

  7. Buckyflowers, I did catch that at the end and it was funny! You're right--even without a performance, he was charming as always, and the CD did get a good solid plug. (And the Opry shirt was a nice touch... :)
