Bucky Covington's CD sales take a leap...(and a TV alert)

It's summer, and it looks like Bucky Covington's CD sales are heating up, too. Ken Barnes of USA Today's Idol Chatter has the scoop on the Soundscan numbers for the week: "His sales jumped 24% to 14,000, and his total is 177,000." (That's a healthy jump! It's safe to say that Bucky's well-received CMA Fest performances and his hard work on the summer tour have inspired quite a few trips to the music counters and clicks to online retailers as the warm weather kicks in.) Ogopogo's got the good news posted at the Fox boards, and Buckyflowers shared it in comments. Congratulations, Bucky!

(And just because I am utterly shameless, I'll make it easy for our curiosity-seeking readers to get a copy of your own. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, or order a CD directly from Bucky's official site. It's a perfect addition to your summer roadtrip soundtrack... )

Edited to add the official word from Lyric Street: "This week Bucky Covington's self-titled CD saw the biggest percentage increase of all titles inside the top 10 on Nielsen SoundScan's Top 75 Country Albums chart. His CD has spent all but two weeks inside the top 10 since its release in April as his debut single, 'A Different World,' climbs the country radio charts." And there you have it, y'all.

If you're in the Charlotte region and would like to hear the songs from Bucky's CD live, head over to Team Covington now for information about an upcoming event sports fans and music lovers are sure to enjoy. More soon!--Winnie

Edited again to add a TV alert from comments: Bucky's first visit to GAC Nights is being rerun twice this evening. The first airing began at 8 p.m. ET, but there's an encore presentation at midnight ET. Enjoy! Thanks to our anonymous friend for the heads-up.
