Saturday news: a sure thing at Harrah's, TV updates and more...

Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, preview his entire CD at Clear Channel Music, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

It's a quiet Saturday morning, but it'll be anything but serene at Harrah's Cherokee Casino in NC tonight, where Bucky, Rocky and the band will rock the Cherokee Pavilion at 9 PM. Several of Bucky's biggest fans and much of his gracious family will be on hand for the show; we're looking forward to many photos, recaps and memories this weekend, so stay tuned...

In the meantime, be on the lookout for souvenirs from yesterday's Kenny Rogers show at the Salem Civic Center. A Roanoke Times reporter gave the concert a neutral review, but the Bucky Covington supporters who were there are sure to have a much livelier take on the evening. We'll post links as soon as they come in!

In TV news, Bucky and Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller will appear on Nashville Music and More today to talk about their work on Bucky's #1 debut CD. The program airs on Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV; check local listings for airtimes. And of course, tonight's edition of Hazel Smith's Southern Fried Flicks is sure to bring a smile--Bucky and some surprise guests visit Hazel's legendary kitchen to enjoy laughs, an excellent Southern recipe and the film Sommersby. Southern Fried Flicks airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET and Sun., May 6 at 3 p.m. ET on CMT. As always, TV schedules are subject to change; if we hear of any updates, we'll pass them along...

As for the Mediabase charts, they're looking like a rerun this morning...but good news always bears repeating. "A Different World" is #19 on the Saturday a.m. weighted chart and #20 on the Top 500. Request Bucky at your local country station this weekend--both your local DJ and tonight's syndicated programs are waiting to hear from you.

The video countdown shows are lookin' good too; Bucky's video came in at #2 on last night's CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack countdown, and #5 on GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown. (Feel free to use those links to vote again, y'all!)

More later today--c'mon back!

  3. Anon 9:32, I sent a message to Happydays asking for permission to repost her recap (I didn't want to do it without her permission), but she may be on the road now. If I hear from her and she says okay, I will post it here.

    And Anon 9:15--yep! :)
