Bucky Covington onstage at the Country Music Expo in Indianapolis in April; photo by the very generous BuckyCrazed. Thanks again! (Enjoy more of her great Expo shots here.) Bucky's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, preview his entire CD at Clear Channel Music, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club. We'll start things off a brand new recap from Bucky's recent Las Vegas concert with Sawyer Brown. Sandra was on hand to enjoy the show, and she shares her impressions:
What a sweetheart! Bucky has the perfect personality for his fans, he made us feel like we were friends from the first hello. My 10-year-old daughter was treated extra special . . . Bucky took the time to make sure he spelled her name correctly when he autographed the picture.
The Sawyer Brown Concert with special guest Bucky Covington was the epitome of entertainment in the town where fun knows no limits. The crowd went wild when Mark Miller, Sawyer Brown's lead singer, introduced Bucky who came out seeing fans on their feet and hollering' as loud as possible. Wow, Bucky sounded awesome! His growl was phenomenal, and
what fun he had poking at Mark by imitating his dance moves. The chemistry between Bucky and the whole band is something special for sure.
This concert was the best I've ever seen!
Thanks for sharing your great night, Sandra! If you'd like to experience Bucky live, you're in luck--more dates have just been added to the tour page on his official site. And there are new TV appearances listed as well; the next one happens on Saturday, May 5th, when Bucky and Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller talk about teaming up for Bucky's self-titled debut CD on "Nashville Music & More" on WSMV in Nashville.
(The new dates come on top of an already immensely packed schedule--and with a sweet #1 chart triumph in his pocket, and a lovely new girlfriend to share his good news with, it'd be great if Bucky had a moment or two to take it all in. Here's hoping that he, Rocky, the band and the rest of this incredibly hardworking crew will get a chance to stop and smell the roses sometime soon...)
Our work is ongoing, of course--remember to give Bucky a boost at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown today, and ask for "A Different World" at your local country station today. (At post time, the a.m. Mediabase Top 500 and weighted charts weren't posted. Bucky's single ended the day at #20--it's definitely time to aim for that lofty Top 10...)
Today also brings the final Hits Daily Double estimates for the week; the album sales charts automatically update beginning at about 7:30 Pacific time. Happy chart-gazing!
We'll close with a couple of news links to round things out for now--here's Bucky's Talk of the Town interview from Monday morning on WTVF, and here's WKRN's look at last night's T.J. Martell Foundation "Best Cellars" benefit. (Sadly, WKRN's news pages completely freeze my browser--if you can see it, and Bucky's there with some news, please post a recap in comments...thanks!)
More soon...
Bucky mentions in a two second clip that he likes Merlot (wine).
