First look at Sunday--new video from the Whiskey Barrel and Hoedown memories

Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

Here's an incredibly sweet video treat from Friday night's show at the Whiskey Barrel in Lansing, Michigan to start off your Sunday. Bucky Covington and his band sing "A Different World" for a crowd who seem to know the song quite well, indeed. (Thanks, dbrosch!)

And the WYCD Hoedown gallery is filled with lots of shots of Bucky on stage, being interviewed, and with fans. (Scroll down on this page to enjoy the podcast of Bucky's pre-performance conversation with WYCD's Mike Scott.) The Detroit Free Press was along for the day, too--Bucky (and a very sweet fan) get a mention in an article about yesterday's happenings in Hart Plaza.

There should be many photos, videos and memories from the Detroit Hoedown popping up during the course of the week--it's a huge event, and I'm betting that Bucky Covington has quite a lot of brand-new fans as of this weekend. If you're stopping in for the first time, welcome and enjoy! My friend Kathy at Team Covington has a terrific post today, featuring lots of links and info for everyone who'd like to know a little bit about our mutual favorite rising country star...

Chartwise, things are holding steady so far today; Bucky's single, "A Different World", is #17 with a bullet on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts as of this morning. Request Bucky at your local country station, y'all! (The video for "A Different World" ended the week in the Top 3 on all the major country video charts--the CMT Pure 12-Pack and GAC Top Twenty countdowns are fan-voted and a whole lot of fun, so be sure to cast your vote for Bucky today.)

Finally, a couple of TV reminders: Bucky's "special correspondent" segment on CMT Insider re-airs today at 11:00 a.m. ET, with two more repeats following; and he was also spotted in an "orange carpet" roundup on GAC's Country Music Across America-- check here for showtimes.

See you later today!

Remember Bucky telling the charming story of a chance meeting with Tracy Lawrence? Well on Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton Tracy happens to be the co-host today and listeners get to hear about that same chance meeting from Tracy's perspective. Tracy has all good things to say about Bucky and his song. :D
