Bucky Covington on stage in Council Bluffs earlier this month; photo by the very kind Rachel. Thanks! Bucky's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, preview his entire CD at Clear Channel Music, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.According to Bucky's official site, he's scheduled to appear on WTVF's Talk of the Town show this morning. The program begins at 11:00 a.m. Central in Nashville; Talk of the Town's page has a video-on-demand player, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a clip there later today...
And this afternoon, get ready to exercise those mouse-clicking reflexes--CMT's Power Picks is back. Bucky's video for his Top 20 hit single "A Different World" will be part of a head-to-head matchup in the second half-hour of the show. Tune in at 12 noon ET and head to CMT.com to vote Bucky to another victory! (Edited to add results--Bucky won this latest matchup against Sugarland's "Want To", with 54% of the vote. Congratulations!)
In the past week, we've heard from a lot of critics and reviewers about Bucky's debut CD--now, the people at 451 Press would like to hear from you. The "Watching American Idol" blog there is looking for reader reviews of Bucky's first album. Here's the perfect opportunity to let them know what you think...
And head over to USA Today's Idol Chatter blog later this morning for Bucky's last diary. We'll sure miss his messages from the road! (He's a busy man, it's true--the Twitter box has been awfully quiet, too.) If you'd like to tell him how much you've been enjoying the diaries, leave him a comment and thank him for sharing the weeks leading up to his CD's release. Here's hoping there's more interactive fun with Bucky in the future!
We'll close for now with those voting links--show Bucky some love at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown today, and request "A Different World" at your local country station while you're getting ready to ease into the work week. Bucky's single was #20 on both the Top 500 and weighted Mediabase charts as of post time--could Top 10 be next? Keep requesting, and stay tuned...
More very soon!
Top 20 woot!!!! lol Yes a calm weekend was great! Actually got some yard stuff done and then we all went bowling lol
ReplyDeleteThere was a nice feature on my FOX news today about how Carrie and Bucky rule both country charts...single and album. :D I bet it will be picked up in other cities throughout the day...so check it out! :)
ReplyDeleteUm, I have heard of "Bucky" but never heard him. He must be doing something right to turn my 47 yr. old girlfriends into mush.
ReplyDeleteHey anon2 take a listen to his songs on myspace... www.myspace.com/buckycovington
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Debbie and Anons!
ReplyDeleteKathy, there's a lot to be said for peaceful weekends--looks like you all had a good time. And you were more productive than I was... :)
Anon 6:49, thanks for the heads-up on the Fox piece! Sounds cool--love that they're bragging Bucky up a bit...
Anon 6:55, I see Debbie's got you covered nicely with the MySpace link, so I'll just piggyback on her suggestion and link to the online stream of Bucky's album at Clear Channel Music:
Bucky Covington (2007)
Bucky's got a very all-ages-friendly country-rock sound. I know fans as young as 7, and as mature as "won't tell". Hope you'll check out the music. I am enormously biased, but I think he really is doing something right... :)
Yep we are biased, but we also have awesome taste winnie :)
ReplyDeleteoh I had to comment to this. Yes debbie, we do have exceptional taste. I know every "fan" feels that way about their chosen artist, but Bucky really is the whole daggone package and has been so underestimated. It's so gratifying to see other people slowly coming around to see his unique, heartfelt talent and enormous charm.
