Bucky Covington on the Grand Ole Opry stage, April 7th. Bucky's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, preview his entire CD at Clear Channel Music, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.
Bucky Covington's trip home to Fayetteville--and his exhausting CD release promo tour--is the subject of a long and perceptive profile in this morning's Raleigh-Durham News & Observer. David Menconi's article provides a bit of local background you won't find anywhere else, as well as some food for thought...
And here's a fun video clip, courtesy of a generous anonymous commenter--enjoy Bucky, Rocky and the band onstage at the KTOM concert in Monterey. (Many thanks to our kind Anon for sharing!)
Other than that, things are fairly quiet so far on this beautiful Sunday, as Bucky (and his fans) take a well-deserved breather. Bucky's next public stop will be on local TV in his new hometown of Nashville, before heading back out on the road for more concerts on his own and with Sawyer Brown.
It's--dare I say it?--a lull, but it's a good lull. We've had lulls before, but there's a huge difference between those long, "waiting for The Announcement" breaks of last fall and winter, and the beauty of this mellow Sunday, when the suspense is more along the lines of when (not if) Bucky's debut single will break into the Top 20, and whether or not Billboard.com finally got around to putting Bucky's CD cover graphic on the Top Country Albums page, where he debuted at #1. (They have.)
Oh, yeah. It's good to be us.
I'll post the usual reminders here: be sure to give Bucky a hand at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown today, and of course, remember to request "A Different World" at your local country station, too! And after that, if you're so inclined, feel free to join me in taking a moment to relax, to smile, and to savor the quiet sweetness of knowing you've helped make someone's incredible dream come true.
(Don't worry--the frenzy will crank up again bright and early tomorrow morning--if not sooner...)
Coming soon (I hope!), recaps and photos from Las Vegas and Cedar City. See you again later today!

ReplyDeleteHi, Hollie and welcome!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, Bucky won't be in Calgary during his spring and summer tour; he's mentioned that he'll be touring again in the fall, so maybe there will be some Canadian dates later this year.
Here's a link to his tour schedule:
