Bucky Covington onstage at the Whiskey Roadhouse in Council Bluffs, April 12th; photo by the very kind Rachel, who was on hand to enjoy the show. (Thanks so much, Rachel!) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, preview his entire CD at Clear Channel Music, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.Bucky Covington's exceptionally busy week winds down with a relatively quiet Saturday schedule--he'll resume his radio promo tour with a stop in Harrisburg, PA for a show sponsored by WBRT/BOB 94.9. On Sunday, he returns to New York for a visit to Fox-TV's Fox & Friends; look for an interview and performance by Bucky at about 9:50 a.m ET. (Check your local listings for exact time and station in your area; all times and schedules subject to change, naturally...)
After that, a day of rest (we hope), and then Bucky's back on the road again. You can follow Bucky's spring and summer tour on his official site, BuckyCovington.com. Here's hoping he'll make a stop near you along the way!
In the meantime, if you'd like to catch up on the fun (and funny) radio interviews Bucky did this week to celebrate the release of his debut CD, several stations have podcasts available. Enjoy Bucky's stop at WSOC in Charlotte, his interview at K102 in the Twin Cities, and this sweet segment from WQDR in Raleigh. Streaming video souvenirs include these great CMT Radio Sessions and Bucky's hilarious presentation of "CMT Outsider" on CMT Loaded, as well as AT&T's blue room interviews and live performances. (We're still watching for Bucky's Thursday mini-concert to turn up in the Pontiac Garage at the official Jimmy Kimmel Live site, but it'll be well worth the wait...)
Of course, the sweetest souvenir of the week is Bucky Covington's CD, itself. (Yep, I'm still a little giddy about the fact that I now own a Bucky Covington CD*. Life is good.) You can hear what all the fuss is about with a streaming sneak peek of the entire album at Clear Channel Music; and after that, you'll want to head over to BuckyCovington.com, where the remaining autographed copies of Bucky's CD are available on a first come, first serve basis. (So hurry!)
The contest portion of the official Bucky Nation street team has come to a close--but the fond support for Bucky goes on and on. If you'd like to give him a boost on the video and radio charts, be sure to vote for "A Different World" at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown today. And remember to request Bucky at your local country station, too! The higher the song climbs, the easier it is to get our requests on the air--so if you met with some resistance before, it's likely to have melted away quite nicely now that Bucky's single is flirting with Top 20 status. Call up and let them know you love it!
We'll be looking for recaps and photos from Bucky's Fayetteville show later today--c'mon back! More soon...
*Okay...two Bucky Covington CDs. I pre-ordered a signed one at BuckyCovington.com, but when April 17th rolled around, I went across town to Circuit City and bought one there, because after over a year of hoping and keeping the faith, I just couldn't wait to finally have it in my hands. You've heard it. Can you blame me?
Hi Winnie,
ReplyDeleteI know! I bought 2 also. I know some people bought a LOT more, but Bucky is only the 2nd
artist I've ever bought more than one of the same
CD for, to support them. I'm excited about it, too! I keep looking at it, thinking Wow! and remembering him on the small stage last year on AI. I'm SO glad he's made it this far.
Thanks for keeping us all up to date,
Have a good weekend,
Chan
on mediabase "American Friday Night" is #62 with 130 spins. Its also on the jump chart.
ReplyDelete~m~
Hi Chan and Mazry!
ReplyDeleteChan, you and me both--first time I've ever ended up with two copies from the same artist, too! I was just so excited about the CD and couldn't wait the extra day or two for the autographed one to come in the mail. And yes, it is so amazing and exciting to think of how far he's come from that small stage to rising country star...wow. So happy for him!
Marzy, thanks and how cool that "American Friday Night" has gotten enough spins to make the Jump chart...I think the DJs and radio people kinda dig that one. I'm having some PC glitches, but I will definitely include that news in the next update.
Have a fantastic weekend!
I WENT AND BOUGHT HIS CD TOO, BECAUSE I HAD TO HAVE IT. I LOVE EVERY ONE OF THE SONGS. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe WGAR video vote needs to be voted on he is loosing. bucky has less than 40% of the vote
ReplyDeleteWow he was a Walmart until 3am...that is dedication...both on his part and the fans' part! :D
ReplyDeleteWow, check out Bucky's long starter list for American Friday Night! 28 cities have played it already! Has this song been released as a single, or are djs just really loving this song or what?!
ReplyDeleteActually, now I see that according to the Jump chart, 100 stations have already played American Friday Night. All I can say is...WOW! I think this song could be a huge hit!
ReplyDeleteWell...part of the explanation for the number of stations that have played AFN could be that it was played on After Midnite (a syndicated radio show with a lot of stations)when Bucky was a guest this past week. However, I don't think it showed up on yes, so I'm not sure how all that works.
ReplyDeleteWhitney Allen's site is listing Bucky as a guest on Big Time Sat Night tonight.
ReplyDeleteFinally fixed the PC! :)
ReplyDeleteAnon, it really does look like "American Friday Night" is getting some serious airtime--I'm not sure how the syndicated shows and Yes.com work together, but it sure does look as though it's going to be the gracing the charts for a while...
AmaMom, isn't it a fun CD? I've been enjoying just letting it play--excellent listening, and Bucky sounds fantastic!
Anon--wow, that really is dedication. :) I am guessing that both Bucky and the fans in Fayetteville were happy they stuck around until the wee hours...
Anon, thanks for thr Whitney Allen news! It's out front now. Should be a fun show! :)
(p.S.--Anon, WGAR's out front now, too--hopefully "A Different World" can catch up in the video poll. Thanks!)
