Wednesday news: Mrs. Jones, Video on Demand and more

Bucky Covington on the Grand Ole Opry stage, March 9th; photo by the generous Honeygirl. Thanks! (You can enjoy more of her great shots here.) Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.

If you're requesting Bucky Covington's single "A Different World" via your local country station's website, you may be in for a brand new treat! Many Clear Channel-owned stations now carry a "Video on Demand" service that lets you watch your favorite music clips right on-site, from a list of thousands--and as of this week, Bucky's video is one of the choices. To find out if your hometown stations offer Video on Demand, simply visit their websites (Radio-locator.com is a great way of finding radio station sites, as is good old Google) and look for the Video on Demand graphic toward the bottom of the page. The current version of the graphic features Toby Keith; click on it and you'll see a list with many different videos from all genres. Artists are arranged alphabetically by first name, so Bucky will be listed under "B". Now you can give Bucky a video whirl on your favorite station--have fun and keep requesting, y'all!

And to help Bucky get some video time on your television, vote for "A Different World" on CMT Pure Country's Pure 12-Pack video countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown. (The video will air on GAC's regular rotation twice today--you can catch it at about 2:22 a.m. and 4:29 p.m. ET.)

Lisa/letusjudge's gorgeous Buck Wild site has been recently expanded with a brand new voting page- a great way to keep up with the many countdowns, polls and such that pop up as "A Different World" makes its chart climb. Bookmark this one, and keep it handy...

Looking for more Opry goodies? The post-Opry thread at the Fox boards is still going strong--and the photos are still rolling in, too. Honeygirl has added some beautiful Music City shots to her Flickr photoset, and she says there's more on the way. (A big thanks to Honeygirl for sharing!) And looking ahead a little, that long-awaited Q and A session with Mrs. Jones looks like it'll be posted soon; Bucky's artist news page there has been revamped, with his expanded bio and a truncated schedule featured.

Finally, a reminder about WKML's "Top 5 at 6"--the welcome mat is still extended for us out-of-town streaming listeners! Send an email request for Bucky to country@wkml.com, and enjoy some Fayetteville-style hospitality.

More very soon!

  1. I forgot I wanted to ask... do you use internet explorer? I use Mozilla so I never noticed but at the hotel their browser was Explorer and on my blog I could not see the buttons under friends for you or the Bucky/Bo site. Can you see them?
