Sunday drive: countdowns, Jimmy Kimmel and more...

Bucky Covington in a brand-new promo photo from a recent photoshoot; visit his MySpace to see more. Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

It's Sunday morning--time to curl up with a cup of fresh, hot coffee and enjoy those syndicated country countdown radio shows. Kix Brooks' American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 will both be spinning "A Different World" this week; visit Radiotime and Radio-Locator for stations carrying the countdowns near you. And a good friend spotted this syndicated show last night; New Music Nashville played Bucky's single Saturday evening; some stations air it on Sundays as well, so check Radiotime for a station or a stream near you. (Please note--the link lists airtimes in the Central time zone; to change the time zone, you'll have to register, but it's quick, easy and free...)

A friend reminded us in comments that it's fun to watch Yes.com as the countdowns are playing--or anytime Bucky's on the air, for that matter. If you're registered there, you can give Bucky the "thumbs up" vote--one per station--and enjoy watching how well "A Different World" is doing these days.

And there are plenty of opportunities to catch Bucky on this week's video countdowns today, too--CMT's Top 20 Countdown repeats at 11:30 a.m. ET, the CMT Pure Country Pure 12-Pack airs at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET, and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown repeats at 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET. (Some of us have noticed lags and timeouts when voting at GAC this week, so if you are unable to get it this time, keep trying.) Both of those links lead to ballots--hey, we might as well vote while we're here...

"A Different World" will also be one of the videos battling head-to-head during CMT's Power Picks tomorrow. The Monday, 3/26 matchups have been revealed, and Bucky's facing Brooks and Dunn in the second-to-last face-off of the show. Be there Monday at 3-4 p.m. ET and be ready to mouse-click and vote Bucky to victory!

In other TV news, it looks as though those rumors of a Jimmy Kimmel appearance on April 19th might be more than just rumors! Ticket site 1iota.com is listing an 4/19 Bucky Covington indoor mini concert in their Kimmel schedule--ticket info is here. (We'll insert the usual caveats--this is all tentative and subject to change--but it's sure looking pretty likely from here.) It would be very cool to have some enthusiastic Bucky fans in the crowd for this one, so if you'll be in the L.A. area, make plans to cheer him on! We'll post more info as it becomes available...

And even if you're not in L.A., you still might have plenty of chances to enjoy Bucky performing live in the weeks ahead. There are new shows popping up all the time, so bookmark the tour page at Bucky's official site and the Upcoming Shows page at Bucky's official MySpace to stay on top of his exceedingly busy schedule...

(Edited to add--See what we mean? News of another show just came over the wire; Bucky will be appearing at the Brandin' Iron Saloon in San Bernadino on May 27th. From the venue's site:

I hope some folks pick up tickets for the Jimmy Kimmel show. It would be nice to see a full house that night. That show is taped in CA yes?? Do we know if there are Bucky fans in California?

  8. Marzy, thanks for the update on Bucky's MySpace promo! (I can't always log in there without a PC freeze, so the news is a blessing.)

Anon, that sounds like a fun countdown--new rankings seem to be popping up all the time. :) Thanks!
