"Inside TV & Radio" podcast

Here's an important interview we missed from about a month ago; the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's "Inside TV & Radio" podcast from February 9th features a twelve-minute conversation with Bucky Covington, tied in with the first post-audition rounds of the new Idol season. The first part of the podcast contains a few very familiar questions and answers; then columnist Tim Cuprisin's excellent question about Idol exposing new audiences to country music leads into a very interesting, thoughtful discussion of Bucky's views on country music, the dangers of genre-related stereotyping, the benefits of paying attention and using the whole Idol touring routine as a learning experience, and much more. It's a rare glimpse into Bucky's musical attitudes--one you won't want to miss. (There's a print overview of the discussion here, too.) Enjoy!
