Feature article at the Tennessean...

Click the image to pre-order Bucky Covington's CD at Amazon.com.By overwhelming popular demand, here it is again, right up top; enjoy the cover art for Bucky Covington's self-titled debut album, which hits stores on April 17th. Bucky's video for "A Different World" is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can also pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.

Bucky Covington is the subject of a long and insightful feature article in this morning's Nashville Tennessean. Peter Cooper writes about Bucky's experiences at CRS and his road ahead as an emerging country artist, and the story features two evocative photos by Mandy Lunn. Enjoy!

There was a bit of album-related news from Bucky's showcase last night at the Wildhorse--according to the buzz there, Bucky's upcoming CD will have 11 tracks, and the final touches are being put on it even as we speak. "Ain't No Thang" sounds like a winner, judging by the reactions of the fans who got a chance to hear it at the venue and via the magic of conference-call technology. Is it April yet?

The 38th annual Country Radio Seminar winds down today, after some very interesting sessions yesterday, including a "No Holds Barred" discussion about the difficulties--and benefits--of breaking new acts to radio. Tonight's live music and party options include the popular New Faces of Country Music dinner and show, and the annual After Midnite Disco Party hosted by Blair Garner, open to Premiere laminate holders. (Here are some photos from last year's bash--looks like fun!)

This weekend marks Bucky's second Saturday and Sunday well into the Top 40--"A Different World" will grace American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40, among others. Radiotime and Radio-Locator are two great tools for finding local and online country stations near you--tune in, sit back and enjoy Bucky as he climbs the charts!

In video countdown news, there's plenty of voting to do--be sure to hit the GAC Top 20 Country Countdown ballot, and (Fridays through Wednesdays), vote for Bucky on CMT Pure Country 12-Pack. This week, "A Different World" is also the Pick or Flick challenger on CMT--click here for details on this text-message-only poll. And as always, a "Top 5 at 6" request for "A Different World" at country@wkml.com is a nice way to top off the week in style.

More very soon!

Winnie, will there be any video or anything from the Wildhorse Saloon show? I really would have loved to have been there.

  4. Hey, Anon, Anon and Dina! :)

As far as I know, there are no videos of the Wildhorse Saloon performance last night; photos may be coming soon, though, courtesy of a kind fan who was at the venue. I'll keep looking--they'll probably turn up at Fox first.

That show must have been a blast...I wish we all could have been there!
