(There's an update on Bucky's appearance at Sam's Place in Wichita, which was originally scheduled for tomorrow evening; according to a post at the CMT message boards, the show has been rescheduled for 5/2, and will be a KDFI V.I.P Club winners-only event. We'll try to get more details later today; in the meantime, those who were planning to attend should check with the venue for the latest news--Winnie)
Bucky's video for "A Different World" will be one of the voting options on CMT Power Picks, a head-to-head video challenge show. The program begins at 3 p.m. ET, and the voting is live--definitely a test of the old mouse-clicking skills. (Bucky's video is facing the new one by Toby Keith today, so we'll need all hands on deck, y'all.) Once the show begins, click here to go directly to the show's page, hit the "vote now" button, and as soon as Bucky's photo appears in the voting pop-up screen, vote away! Results later today...
(Edited to add: While we're in the nagging...um, I mean "reminding" mood, how about giving Bucky a boost at your local country radio station, too? "A Different World" is so achingly close to the Top 30; those evening request-hour/"Top X at X"/lunchtime cafe requests really do add up. When your hometown station asks for your input--give it to them! Let them know you're enjoying hearing Bucky on the air where you are. PSA over.)

ReplyDeleteI really am hoping for that Top 30 soon. At least our local country evening DJ is pretty nice--I think she'd be the first to play Bucky's single once it hits the magic number. Just a matter of time.
Meanwhile, I've heard it on the countdown show...so now we can at least say they've played it in our hometown!
