Bucky Covington: on the road again...

Click photo to view full size.Little Jimmy Dickens was one of the legendary artists to welcome Bucky Covington to the Grand Ole Opry stage this weekend. Covington, who will release his self-titled debut CD April 17th on Lyric Street Records, made his Opry debut on Friday night (3/9) and will return to the Opry stage for the televised show on April 7th. And the news just keeps on comin'! Here's a bit of what's happening this evening...

If you're in the Pacific Northwest this week, you're in luck--Bucky Covington will be in Spokane, Washington this week for two special appearances. From the KDRK site:

Cat Country 94 presents American Idol star Bucky Covington. It's the second Low Dough Show at Trick Shot Dixie Thursday March 15th. Tickets are available online at ticketswest.com or by calling 325-SEAT. Listen for your chance to win tickets and special VIP passes.

And on Friday, 3/16, Bucky's official site lists him as doing a KIXZ radio event--unfortunately, my vintage PC is incompatible with their site. (Spokane area Bucky fans/KIX 96.1 listeners, please feel free to post details in comments--I'd be happy to share them!)

Finally, Saturday 3/17 brings a big St. Patrick's day party for Bucky's very lucky fans in Portland, Oregon. Here's the word, as posted on the KWJJ events page:

99.5 the Wolf is bringing Bucky Covington to Dukes for a huge St. Paddy's day party on March 17th at 9 p.m. Bucky Covington is a season 5 American Idol finalist. Come party with the Wolf as Dukes throws down the biggest St. Paddy's day party! Plenty of free parking & only $5 gets you in! All proceeds go to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Tickets are on sale now at Dukes: 503-760-1400.

Have a great time, and be sure to tell us all about it! And while Bucky's on the road supporting "A Different World", we can support it as well with some well-timed requests. (Yes, I know I'm repeating myself--but I admit I'm genuinely excited about the fact that ever since Bucky hit the Top 30, I can request locally now and actually hear Bucky on my very own regular terrestrial radio!) New cities and new stations mean new ears that need to hear how much we're enjoying Bucky's voice on the radio--so be sure to speak up.

More very soon!
