Edited at 10: 20 am ET to add a link to the morning show thread at the Fox boards; so far, we haven't heard a peep about Bucky on KKBQ. Was he on during the 5 a.m. hour? Fingers crossed for an update soon...
Bucky's official site has this evening's KILT American Idol viewing party listed as a contest-winners-only event, but the KILT website reads as follows:
100.3 KILT invites you to join us and Bucky Covington for an American Idol viewing party this Wednesday night! Bucky was one of last year's finalists and we're bringing him to the Armadillo Palace to sing some of his new songs, sign autographs and watch Idol. It's free and open to the public.
The Armadillo Palace is located at 5015 Kirby Drive, just a couple of blocks from Highway 59. The party starts at 6:30pm - we'll see you there!
(My advice? I'd say if you're in the Houston area, the Armadillo Palace looks like the place to be this evening--and if you're there enjoying a free Bucky Covington show, you're pretty much a winner by any definition of the word...)
(Edited 1:41 a.m.--the announcement of this Big Story TV segment no longer appears on Bucky's official site as of this post. Stay tuned for news of a possible rescheduling--Winnie.) If you're not in the Houston area, you can still enjoy Bucky this evening through the magic of television; he'll be appearing on Fox News Channel's Big Story with John Gibson at 5 p.m. ET to chat about life after Idol, his debut single "A Different World" and his eagerly-anticipated 4/17 CD. It's fairly safe to assume we'll get a few more snippets of the upcoming music video for "A Different World". The bits that aired on Memphis' WHBQ-TV caused quite a happy buzz Tuesday evening--can't wait to see the whole thing. (Again, be sure to check the Big Story page and Bucky's official site for possible changes. It'll be well worth waiting for, whenever it's aired!)
A gentle reminder--Bucky's bubbling just under the Mediabase Top 40 as of this writing, and his single needs our help to cross that all-important line. Besides putting in a request to the kind folks at country@wkml.com for tonight's WKML "Top 5 at 6", consider calling your local country station and/or contacting your favorite "adopted" streaming station and requesting "A Different World" today. Imagine how much fun it'll be to hear Bucky on those national country countdown shows next week...
Speaking of charts, don't miss Kathy's Team Covington blog--there's a nice helping of news from Sirius New Country 60 you're sure to enjoy.
See you later today!
Winnie you are AWESOME girl! Loved watching the clip of the video with the news casters in Memphis. Pimped out his Grill, another Buckyism!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Judge--you're very kind, and it was really fun hearing the shout out to you on KSSN!
ReplyDeleteBucky's got a "pimped out" grill, eh? Hee! These interviews are a hoot--that's a crazy schedule Bucky's keeping, but his sense of humor is definitely working 24/7!
I am digging through the snow to wave! lol Did all the store runs etc yesterday and got in just as the snow began. Great finds! That boy is getting so busy it's hard to keep up! As we got in the car after grocery shopping yesterday A Different World was just ending! Ira said hey and you didn't even request it that time! lol
ReplyDeleteHey, Kathy! Sorry about the snow (we can relate up here), but how cool that you got to hear Bucky on your car radio--there must be another listener with excellent musical taste asking for Bucky at your station... ;)
ReplyDeleteHey when you signed onto blogger is it leaving you no option but to go to their new version? I mean it has given me the choice before but now I can;t get around it.
ReplyDeleteNope, not so far, but that's probably coming...sigh. Hope they've worked out all those bugs!
ReplyDeleteYes hope the bugs are out!
