Snowy Saturday musings...

Had to go way back for this one! By request, Bucky Covington in New York City, 4/06; photo by the very generous Beesims. Thanks for writing!

This is a freezing cold and snowy Saturday in much of the U.S. and Canada--a great day to stay in, enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or cocoa, and curl up with the radio. If your radio station isn't playing Bucky's new single yet, take heart--the closer "A Different World" gets to the Top 40 on the Mediabase airplay charts, the more likely you are to hear him over your local airwaves. We'll be talking much more about how to increase the chances of that happening later today. In the meantime, here's a great review by a blogging country music listener who might be requesting right alongside us; his New Song Review for January includes an enthusiastic thumbs-up for "A Different World". (Many thanks to the_mumbler, Becky and a kind anonymous commenter for the link.)

Back soon with a full radio post--see you in a little while!

  2. Hi, TV fan! You sound like you're ready for spring--I am so with you. The high here tomorrow is supposed to be 7. Seven degrees! Whoa.

Hopefully Bucky's video will be on CMT and GAC on or before Valentine's day--he said "two to three weeks" a while ago, so fingers crossed we'll enjoy watching it very soon... :)

It's nice to see that picture again. Wow it will almost be a year since I snapped that and it's amazing to think how much has happened in the intervening months. Who would have thought he would be making his Grand Ole Opry debut less than a year later?
I would love to see him come back to NY again to tape another TV show or a concert or maybe even an awards show. A girl can dream...

  6. Bet that after the CD is released, he'll be spending a lot of time in NYC--doing promo appearances on TV and yes, an awards show (or two, or more..) Maybe even SNL?

It is amazing to look back and think of how different things are now--the future seemed unclear, but it sure is loking bright these days!
