Saturday by numbers: ACC Top 40, CMT Pure and more...

Bucky Covington in a promo image taken on the set of his new music video, now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.

A quick news sweep for a serene Saturday:

Missed the high excitement last night? Here's your chance to relive it all over again! Yesterday, Bucky's video for "A Different World" made its debut on CMT (digital) Pure Country's 12-Pack Countdown--at Number One. And it'll be on again a few more times this weekend--so if you've got CMT Pure, you've got a treat ahead. (Bucky's reaction to the news, as reported by his kind "Special Mother" Tracey at the Fox boards: "Freakin' awesome!")

Bucky will be on plain ol' regular CMT, too--the first airing of this week's CMT Insider happens at 2 p.m. ET today, and a segment on Bucky's upcoming CD is on the menu. Repeat showtimes are listed here.

In radio news, Bucky's sitting at #33 on the Mediabase Top 500 and #36 on the weighted chart this morning...with two all-important bullets. (Keep requesting!) And this weekend, "A Different World" is very likely to get its first spot on the syndicated country countdowns, as well. (The most recent American Country Countdown newsletter contained this teaser: "Who's the latest American Idol contestant to enter the Country chart this week?" I think we might know the answer around here...) You'll also want to keep an ear out for Bucky on Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40. The latter has a station finder, so you'll know where to listen in; ACC Top 40's affiliate finder is down, but a quick Google search with "American Country Countdown" and your city or station call letters should bring up the right place on the dial for you...

And tonight while you're out and about, keep the syndicated Saturday night country shows tuned in--it's a fun way to request Bucky for the whole country to enjoy! Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen and the Bo Reynolds Show all have contact info listed on their sites, so don't be shy--let them know "A Different World" is a must-hear this evening.

Finally, an update on the WKML St. Jude's radiothon--$160,490 in donations came from Big Hearts all over the country. Congratulations to all who donated, and enjoy that Big Heart Bash concert with Bucky and Dusty Drake on April 20th! The radiothon may be over, but St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital always needs our help--here's the "Country Cares" donation form.

More soon!

  6. Just saw it--it was fun! For everyone who hasn't seen it yet, Bucky's on at about 10 minutes into the show. My only complaint...the segment was not long enough. :)

Segment on Taylor followed--it was great to see him!

    Winnie,

I don't know if you remember Kay from Houston from the Woodlands LMBO concert. She found out from me on MJ's chat that Bucky was going to be at the Opry the day after Taylor performs at the Ryman and now she has bought a ticket and hopefully will be joining us for the pre-party.

  10. Hi, Carol--

Yes, I do remember Kay and we actually have kept in touch off and on--great to hear she'll be at the Opry! It'll be fantastic to see her again.

And yes, the results of that Bucky Covington photoshoot that the Insider was on hand for do need to be released immediately, if not sooner...
