On the road again...

Bucky Covington, in a promo image from his album cover photo shoot. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. Bucky is also featured in this week's edition of Country Weekly magazine, on newsstands now.

Edited to add a heads-up from a kind anon in comments: GAC is listing an approximate airtime of 6:48 pm Tuesday, 2/13, for Bucky's "A Different World" video. If you have GAC, please tune in and let us know if we've got a sighting--and thanks!

Bucky's promo tour gears up bright and early tomorrow with a morning interview on 106.1 WMIL in Milwaukee; he'll be joining the Moo Crew at 7:15 CST, according to the Crew's page. Brew a pot of coffee and get ready for some smiles to start your day! (The station also offers podcasts of some of their celebrity interviews, and with any luck, we'll be able to enjoy Bucky's wit and wisdom all over again in the afternoon...)

Tomorrow evening, US99 in Chicago is sponsoring an American Idol viewing party with Bucky at at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115 St. in Merrionette Park, IL. If you're going, say hi to Bucky for us!

And of course, the biggest news of the day is the coming debut of Bucky's music video for "A Different World"--it'll be on CMT's Top 20 Countdown on Thursday 2/15, and on GAC on Friday. (CMT's countdown has no fan/viewer input, aside from the text-message based "Pick or Flick" challenge. Might be a good idea to bookmark that page, just in case...)

The GAC Top Twenty Country Countdown does feature fan voting, and you can do it right online; click here to go to the voting page, and choose up to five of your favorites. (As you might have noticed, there's a write-in email address at the bottom. If Bucky's video isn't on the page after its GAC premiere, that could come in handy--but we're betting it'll be on the list by the next round of voting.)

Finally, a radio update: "A Different World" is holding steady today at #38, but a quick look at Yes.com reveals that there are lots of new stations on board lately. If you had a hard time getting your favorite local DJ to play the song before, try it again this week...you could be in for a very pleasant surprise. Request, y'all! After this beautiful video airs, we'll have a lot of company on those request lines...

More later--see you soon!
