At 6:30 he came out wearing blue jeans, cowboy boots, blue shirt and a necklace, hair was flying. He started out the set with "American Friday Night" which I liked very much, he then talked about the next song "I'm Good", and of course there were suggestions from him that he really was. Wink, wink! Did a great job on that one too.
He then sang a song that apparently is a popular club song as he held the mike out for people to sing one of the lines. It was really good but I don't have a clue what the title was. The next song was "Hometown", which I think was originally sung by someone else, but was very good and the audience loved it. He then introduced the guys in the band and I gotta tell you the sound was so good in that place, not studio perfect but dang close. He played two different guitars and both were electric.
The next song was "Suspicious Minds" and that song brought the house down. Elvis would be proud of him as he did an outstanding job and folks expressed it. The final song was "A Different World" and of course that was really received well. He sang for 32 minutes straight and to be so close you could almost touch his boots was quite a thrill. He did little Bucky slides but stage was too small to do a big one. He moved around the small stage quite a bit and grinned like a Cheshire Cat most of the time, what a sweetie!
She got a chance to chat a bit with someone from Lyric Street Records, and you won't want to miss what she had to say about that conversation. There's also interesting new information about "Carolina Blue", one of the upcoming tracks on Bucky's 4/17 debut CD, as well as the first word on a possible Milwaukee performance in the very near future. Go now and read it all! I'll be here working on Thursday's big news post--see you in a few. (Mega-thanks to Jeano222 for generously sharing her wonderful time. )
