Bucky Covington strikes a heartfelt stance in this mini-still from his new music video, now available at Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.Could you be hearing "This is Bucky Covington, and you're listening to (fill in the nickname of your local country station)" over your speakers in a couple of weeks? It's very likely--among the various events scheduled at the Country Radio Seminar is an "Artist Radio Taping Session". Bucky and many of your favorite performers will take time out to record station IDs and program liners that will eventually pop up on airwaves nationwide--something to look forward to. (Bucky's also listed as part of the "surge of bright young stars" who'll be in attendance at CRS38--here's the press release with the full and impressive lineup of artists involved...)
Bucky's in Cincinnati this evening for a contest-winners-only Idol viewing party sponsored by WUBE/WYGY--but for us non-contest winners, there's a video interview planned at WXIX/Fox 19. It'll probably be posted at the station's site later today, so be sure to check back.
While we're waiting for that, there's more good news on the TV front; Bucky's video for "A Different World" is now listed as one of the choices on the GAC Top Twenty Country Countdown voting page, and a friend who gets CMT's digital Pure Country channel says that she saw the video there Monday night. (Yep, the Pure 12-Pack Countdown voting list features a familiar face, too... )
Another bit of possibly video-related news--another friend pointed out that since "A Different World" premiered on cable television, Bucky's Amazon pre-sale ranking has zoomed. (While there are far too many variables to consider Amazon sales rankings a 100% accurate forecast of first week sales, it's still fun to see the jump, isn't it?)
Kathy at Team Covington brought up an interesting point about CMT's Power Picks show, which is a live head-to-head video challenge--you can sign up for email alerts on the show's page. Tune in at 3 p.m. ET and keep an eye out for Bucky--no doubt he'll be facing other Power Picks again this week.

Bucky has already recorded an "intro" for my local station. It says something like "Hi this is Bucky Covington and this is my new single A Different World on the new country Eagle 97.3.
