Coffee break update: Bo, snow and a video...

By request, Bucky Covington in a very vintage promo image from March 2006. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. Bucky is also featured in this week's edition of Country Weekly magazine, on newsstands now. Thanks for writing!

Just a few reminders right up top: if you haven't made a request for "A Different World" at WKML yet, please zap them an email at country@wkml.com and let them know you'd like to hear Bucky on tonight's "Top 5 at 6". Bucky was third on the countdown yesterday evening; a Number One spot would be a nice way to celebrate the beautiful music video that's coming our way soon...

According to GAC's website, they'll be playing Bucky's brand new video at about 6:48 tonight; if you (or a kind neighbor) have GAC, be sure to tune in and let us know if you see it, and what you think! We know for sure that the clip will air during Thursday's CMT Top 20 Countdown; both this show and a Friday GAC debut are listed at Bucky's official site.

An important update for the Chicago fans who were planning to attend tonight's American Idol viewing party at 113 Bourbon Street; the event has been cancelled due to the snowstorm that is currently blanketing much of the Midwest. Bucky did a call-in interview at the sponsoring station, US99, earlier today; sounds like he and they are classifying this one "postponed". Here's hoping Bucky's Chicago supporters have another get-together to look forward to on a future--and sunnier--date.

A very kind Bucky Covington and Bo Bice fan pointed us to an excellent blog entry at The Bo Bice Underground today; the well-written piece compares and contrasts the post-Idol management styles for both of these talented Southern singer/songwriters. So many of us are mutual fans, and the article--which expresses the hope that Bo is on his way to a fresh musical start and a much more supportive situation--is a must read. (And while we're speaking of Bo and Bucky, the Bo, Bucky and Friends message boards are beautiful--and busy. It's safe to bet that these two gentlemen might see a lot of the same faces in the stands at their shows in '07...)

Finally, here's a bit of news from Bucky's interview at WMIL today. Bucky's been asked to return to CNN's Larry King Live in April--and it looks like he'll be performing! No word on the exact airdate yet, but we're bound to have more info as the show approaches. Also, he'll be performing with the house band at the Grand Ole Opry on March 9th, but Rocky's definitely in the picture for the long term--as Bucky said today, "he knows somebody who knows somebody..."

More very soon!

Aww that photo today is adorable but he looks like sweet, scared boy Bucky instead of hot, confident country star man Bucky we have seen of late. :)

WOWSERS! I am at a loss for words. The video was everything we ever dreamed that it would be. It followed the song so well. Bucky looked AWESOME! Towards the end of the video they zoom in on his face and he gives a sly grin and then a slight chuckle(adorable). We DVR'd it so I am watching again. HE LOOKS AWESOME AWESOME!
(a side note the boy in the video resembles my son Dakoda)

They had the CD name listed as "Bucky Covington"
