According to the Mediabase airplay charts in the sidebar, Bucky Covington's "A Different World" has now broken into the Top 50 on the weighted chart (the "with year" version) and it's bubbling right under with a number 51 slot on the overall chart. New stations in Los Angeles, Des Moines, Oxnard, Spokane, and our beloved WDRM in Huntsville have popped up on the "Format Starters" list. Lookin' good--congratulations, Bucky!
Evening update--a kind fan just reported that her Fox affiliate did a brief spot about Bucky's Hot Shot Debut Billboard status this evening, accompanied by a bit of "Fat Bottomed Girls" footage. (Affiliates often use the same clips, so you might want to keep an eye out for a possible glimpse of Bucky on your local Fox station tonight...)
Okay, a bit of total chart nerdiness for numbers buffs. (If you're lurking here and you think this info isn't too nerdy for the main page, let me know and I might post it later today.)
ReplyDeleteAccording to All Access, here's how "A Different World" is stacking up this week, by the numbers:
Most number of spins: Sirius New Country. They've played it 31 times this week, and it is the Number 10 (!) most-played song on the channel.
Runners-up:
WKML, Fayetteville (23 spins, 10th most played song)
WGTY, York PA (14 spins, 29th most played song)
KSKS, Fresno CA (11 spins, 39th most played song)
XM Highway 16 (10 spins, not yet in Top 50 most played songs)
I'm snapping myself out of chart nerd mode now and going to run a few errands. :) Have a great day!
One can go batty looking at those charts. haha
ReplyDeleteSo for now I am just going with Bucky is at 50 on his way to top 10! :D
I really enjoy the numbers info, so whether you decide to put it on the main page or keep it in the comments, please continue to report it :) I just like to see all the good news as it pertains to Bucky -- and I thnk the fact that ADW is in the top ten most played on Sirius and WKML is very good news! Laurianne
ReplyDeleteLaurianne, you're very kind! I am so embarassed about my chart-nerd tendencies that I will probably be "hiding" these fine details in comments--but I couldn't resist sharing them. Bucky is enjoying an excellent start! :)
