Quick update, 1/2

This lovely "Different World" banner is Tracy's latest creation, and it's a keeper! (It's a little too large for the blog's margins--please click the image to view it in its full splendor.) She's generously offered this beauty to all--feel free to snag it and use it to promote Bucky's new single with the artist's blessings. Thanks, Tracy! You can see more of her gorgeous creations at her MySpace.

A few stops for the first business day of 2007:

Lyric Street Records has a mailing list option, if you'd like to stay right on top of what's happening at Bucky's new label. As of this post, there's no word about the signing at the Lyric Street page, or at Bucky's official site, but it's safe to assume a splashier press release than the short but sweet Nashville Business News story is in the works. (The Disney/Go.com site is one enormous maze, really, but I did manage to find a fun semi-hidden downloadable ringtones shopping page. How soon until we'll be answering calls to the sweet sounds of "Different World"?)

And here's another bookmark you'll definitely want to check often; the venerable industry trade magazine Radio & Records has a handy online "Going For Adds" list, segmented by genre. According to Kathy's post yesterday at Team Covington, "Different World" is likely to be released to FM radio fairly soon. (In the meantime, we're still giving the fine folks at Sirius' New Country major props for playing it Saturday night and finishing our 2006 with a smile.)

It's probably too early to call this a quiet news day--as the past week has proven, quiet mornings often turn into exciting afternoons and nights. One thing's for sure...it's a fun time to be a Bucky Covington fan!

More soon--have a beautiful Tuesday...

You mean I'd have to give up "Real good man" as my ringtone? :(

I could alternate! Yeah, that's the ticket. ;)

Thanks for the compliment on the banner... he sure is nice to look at! Woowee!

  2. By this time next year it'll be ringtone overload--you'll need one for each cut on the album...or maybe a few more phones... :)

That banner is beautiful...thank you for sharing it with everyone!
