A favorite concert shot from the GAC Christmas tour; Bucky Covington on stage in Weldon, NC, photo by the very kind Blu.
(Thanks so much for bearing with me during my multiple tech troubles today! Here's a bit more about the events in this morning's post--Winnie)
A bit of new radio news to start us off--tomorrow morning at 9:15 Central time, you can catch Bucky on XM's channel 161, where he'll be interviewed by WSIX 's Gerry House. Edited--it looks as though Channel 161 is not offered on the online version of XM Satellite Radio--we'll look for an alternate source for this interview. If you're an XM subscriber with a radio unit, enjoy! (Many thanks to Listening Ears for the heads-up.)
If you're not a member of the WKML Country Club, sign up now and get information on the upcoming "WKML Big Hearts Bash" concert April 20th in Fayetteville, NC. The station is sponsoring a radiothon to benefit the St. Jude's Children's Hospital on 2/22-2/23, and donors who become "Partners in Hope" now through 2/23 qualify for two tickets to the 4/20th Bash at the Reeves Auditorium in Fayetteville. Bucky Covington and an "additional performer to be revealed soon" will take the stage for this private, donors-only show, and seating is limited.
And a challenge to take note of--"A Different World" was the undisputed winner of the songfight on WBAM in Montgomery, AL earlier tonight. Bucky's single goes against a formidable challenger--Montgomery Gentry--tomorrow at 6 p.m. ET. WBAM offers online streaming, so listen in to find out how to cast your vote for Bucky Thursday evening!
Finally, a fun, straightforward non-fan review from a man who enjoyed Bucky on Idol, found the new tunes from the upcoming CD on MySpace, and liked what he heard, plain and simple. (Sometimes it's good to get a perspective from a less than "rabid"--but open-minded--music lover.)
Whew! Lots of news to catch up on--and there's bound to be more soon. (Bucky's a very busy man these days..) Stay tuned!
Jen from Nevada Ballet contacted and said Bucky did not make the event but I don't know why?? hmmmm
ReplyDeleteProbably the usual celebrity scheduling conflict--that, or the airline struck again! Sigh.
