A sentimental feeling...

Ah, Christmas Eve. It's that special day for traveling, last-minute wrapping, baking up extra munchies (my job for the afternoon) or just relaxing and looking forward to tomorrow's fun. You're taking a break, but you'd like to stay with the holiday theme a little while longer? Bucky Covington and his creative and generous supporters have some musical mood-setters for you and your guests--who might become Bucky supporters themselves after seeing all this fun stuff! Here's a wrapup of goodies from the GAC Country Christmas tour (credits at end of post):

Fan clips: Park your one-horse open sleigh at YouTube and enjoy some fantastic footage--"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Please Come Home for Christmas", Different World" and "Suspicious Minds" are all there for your enjoyment, filmed at various tour stops by talented fans. Check out a rousing "Suspicious Minds" in two beautiful clips (part one and part two) at GoFish, where there's lots of Bucky Covington brilliance to enjoy. And over at Google, yesterday's gorgeous gifts from the final show in Weldon are getting rave reviews everywhere! Enjoy "Different World" and "Please Come Home for Christmas" while those cakes and cookies cool.

A bit of bonus non-performance video for you, too: the amazingly cool Blue County guys (go see them!) took some funny footage at a truck stop while the tour buses were being repaired, and shared it in their MySpace video diary. Bucky himself greeted us and gave the name of his brand new official site in this cute clip posted at Bucky Country. (And of course, Buck Wild also has your fan-video needs covered, always...)

Photos: Lots of photo memories to choose from--check out yesterday's big beautiful Photobucket from several tour stops along the South, this stunning Fokti album from Weldon, a sweet early-tour Fox profile gallery from Murray, another sweet Photobucket from the same show, and this lovely Flickr photoset. A friendly Deana Carter fan shared lots of fun and funny snaps at his MySpace blog, as well.

Plenty of great shots from Canton are available in this big Photobucket, too. And if you've missed anything else along the way, there's an awesome ongoing Bucky thread at Rawkhands chock-full of surprises. (I know I'm probably leaving out even more--if you have photo links you'd like to share, please leave a note in comments and I'll pass them along...)

Recaps: Bucky's supporters shared their thoughts and memories of many of the shows; here's a fantastic recap from the tour finale in Weldon, and several great reviews of the Florence and Lancaster concerts are posted in this thread at the Fox boards. A beautiful Florence recap on this MySpace blog nicely summed up the night. (Sadly, many fan reviews were lost in a mod purge at the Fox boards--we wish we had those to share with you today.) The Canton show got coverage on two separate Blogspot blogs--here's mine--pack a lunch, it's pretty long!--and Kathy's (scroll down to the December 14th post).

Other concertgoers also kindly posted their thoughts; enjoy this priceless description of the nearly snowed out Tulsa show by a kind CMT board poster, a very short but sweet kudo for Bucky from a Julie Roberts fan, a glimpse of the blizzard-hampered Wichita show from a Deana Carter listener, and a colorful Knoxville review from a generous Blue County and Deana Carter supporter, compete with photos and video. And who couldn't love this exuberant Fort Wayne recap from one of Bucky's newest fans!

Television: So you'd like to see the GAC Christmas concert for yourself? An edited version of the Knoxville show called Christmas at the Tennesee is now showing on Great American Country. Here are the remaining airtimes:

A huge round of applause to Bucky, Deana, Julie, Scott, Aaron, Steve, the band and crew, and all the talented people behind the scenes for making our spirits bright this year! (You all can feel free to do this once more during December 2007, you know...just sayin'.)

Merry Christmas!

(Big thanks also to Blu, Leaf, Dixiegirl7, Honeygirl, Happy, Hildi, MJ, Kathy, Lisa, Vgill, Buckyflowers, Sunscreen, dbrosch, buckybee, buckyroo, "Tracey from Ohio" [nice meeting you!] and to everyone who shared photos, clips, recaps, and smiles during this sweet holiday surprise tour. If I missed your name, please do let me know in comments--I want to give credit where credit's due! Thanks, y'all.)

  7. Buckyflowers and Deb, you're very kind...thanks and Merry Christmas to you, too!

One of the greatest things about being a Bucky Covington fan is all the truly nice people you meet (including Bucky :) It's been a joy to get to know you online and (sometimes) in RL. We really do need to plan for that Opry meetup...

2007 is going to be a beauty of a year. All the best to you and yours!
