Just a few random odds and ends:

Looking to treat yourself, now that the holiday gift-giving rush is through? Kathy at Team Covington has a beautiful gift for you today--one that you'll enjoy all year long. (Thanks, Kathy!)

If you've ever wondered how eager the audience for Bucky Covington's debut CD is, wonder no more; the brand-spanking new Bucky Covington Fans MySpace is already hopping, with over 250 (make that 325) friends added in little more than a day and a half. If you'd like to join the party, click here and add them, too--among other good stuff, there's a gorgeous photo album with shots from the past and present, as well as a handy collection of recent concert videos posted there for your enjoyment. Hop in and have fun!

There's an interesting discussion happening at the Fox boards today; an earlier post about Rocky's performance at Marrz in Wilmington for what the venue bills as "a farewell party for Rocky and Bucky" has led to a separate conversation about Bucky's possible new band, and the musical direction he may or may not be choosing. We don't have a confirmed lineup for the Wilmington show, but we do know (from Stewart Pittman's excellent Viewfinder Blues article a few weeks back) that Bucky's country and rock leanings will be evident on the finished CD, and that Mark Miller is confident that the combination will be very well-received, indeed.

"All the musicians who played on this album kept coming up to me saying this is going to be big" our favorite Lenslinger quotes Miller as saying, "guys who have been around the business and don't just throw comments out like that." Whatever direction Bucky's taking on this debut CD, it's a safe bet that it'll be full of some pleasurable surprises--and that we'll enjoy the ride.

More soon!
