Hmmm...this photo didn't even make it to the bottom of the page before a repost request came in! Happy to oblige---Bucky Covington's new promo shot (again). The incredibly talented Kathy of Team Covington has a beautiful graphic today incorporating this popular image--go check it out! Thanks for writing...
As mentioned in the previous post (scroll down), tonight's GAC Country Christmas tour stop at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino in Tulsa is listed as "postponed"--no word on why as of this moment, but it's safe to assume that the wild winter weather was a contributing factor in the change of plans. Tomorrow's Crossroads Arena concert in Corinth, Mississippi (tickets available here, link fixed) is still on, though--hope you're able to make the scene!
The near-blizzard was, of course, the top story at the Wichita Eagle site today; so far, no concert reviews have come in, but a kind fan at the Fox boards has contacted someone who was at the Cotillion last night--so a description of the festivities could pop up sometime today. (Thanks, Lisa/letusjudge! Be sure to visit her fantastic Buck Wild site--recently updated and full of beautiful graphics, videos and more.)
Buddy Jewell is recovering well from the accident that forced him to forgo the GAC tour, and as this recent Tennessean article reveals, he's turning this unscheduled downtime into a blessing. Buddy is close to a new record deal, and will be heading into the studio earlier than planned to lay down some brand new tracks. We're all wishing Buddy, his family and his fans all the best, and we're looking forward to that fresh new Jewell music, too.
And if you're curious about the rest of Bucky's tour mates, you're in for a major musical treat! Blue County, Julie Roberts, and Steve Azar all have gorgeous MySpace sites with plenty of sound clips, and headliner Deana Carter's official site has tons of info as well as video clips. (As we mentioned yesterday, word has it that Bucky's official web presence will be established very soon, too--we promise to update the moment we get official confirmation and an address.) This'll be a fun show, with all sorts of flavors of "country" represented--so be sure to bring a friend or two...
More later today--stay warm and safe out there!
Hey!! Just run that photo every day. :D <3
