Just a reminder--if you're planning to attend the GAC Christmas concert in Florence, SC on December 15th, you've got an extra chance to have a special evening and do a world of good, too. The Palmetto chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is sponsoring a benefit VIP dinner and reception. From Saturday's Morning News:
A local Juvenile Diabetes group is selling special $75 VIP ticket packages. The ticket price includes VIP concert seating, a pre-show dinner and a meet and greet with the artists. The civic center will donate $1 from all ticket sales to the Salvation Army/Morning News Empty Stocking Fund, which helps provide items for needy families for the holidays.
Be sure to check the Palmetto JDRF page for updates, then contact Rhonda Weatherford at pddiabeteswalk@bellsouth.net for availability and ordering info. Enjoy a great evening of music and holiday joy, and help a worthy cause!
And just in case you missed that short but sweet snippet of "Please Come Home for Christmas" video from the Knoxville GAC show, here's a link to all the You Tube goodies to date. (Anyone else about ten times more eager to see the show on GAC when it airs on the 16th? If you miss it that night, no worries...looks like Christmas at the Tennessee will be repeated several times between then and Christmas Day. Now if we can only get GAC to release it on a DVD...)
Finally, Rocky Covington's Q and A session is now available at his official site; the fans sent in some truly good questions about his musical influences and future direction, and his answers are equally intriguing. (And if you'd like to catch Rocky live, hop on over to the news page there for info on his upcoming shows.)
Have a lovely Sunday--see you soon!
