Knoxville GAC conference call...

Bucky Covington in Murray, photo by Dixiegirl7.(Photo by Dixiegirl7--thanks so much for letting us use your great shots! More available in her Fox profile.)

Thanks again to Hildi and crew for tonight's call! Here we go:

1-605-990 -0400, access code is 195518#
MAKE SURE YOU PUSH 6 TO MUTE

Tonight's Fox board thread is here; I'm not on the line, but I'll be following along at the board as best I can with a play-by-play. (Please refresh the page to see the latest posts...)

Sounds like the show had already begun by the time the call was able to be established; Deana Carter was just singing "We Danced Anyway".

(We think Blue County might have sung "Good Little Girls" right about here...)

Steve Azar, "Waitin' on Joe", then "Bucky joking with one of the girls" and laughter...

Julie Roberts now--telling her story, then singing "Break Down Here".

Bucky gets teased about his hair--now singing "Different World". ("His favorite line, he says is about 'only 3 channels on the TV'-here it goes. "On my new album in January/ Feburary, hope you enjoy it.")

Bucky introducing Deana Carter...a bit of stage patter about Deana's boyfriend, then "Strawberry Wine".

A word now about World Vision, it sounds like--also, someone's giving away a concert t-shirt, maybe?

(A ten-minute intermission. The Christmas half of the concert is coming up...)

News! "Bucky's managers were with him as we had him on the cellcert, they are here tonight. Scratching [MySpace]. BuckyCovingtonMusic.com will be the new site."

(Just saw a post that I was talking on the conference call--unfortunately, I'm not! I wasn't on the line at all. Hope I don't have an impersonator...hmmm. Back to the show, now...)

Bucky popped on the line for a moment to wish the conference callers a Merry Christmas--how nice was that? Comedian Henry Cho is now on stage...

Technical difficulties with the lights. This show is being filmed for broadcast on GAC December 16th (and some repeats, too).

Back to music...Blue County's on.

"Silent Night", "The Christmas Song" and "The First Noel", sung as a group.

Deana Carter now, singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

Bucky's up, singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". "Lots of clapping going on..." Then "Please Come Home for Christmas".

From the board: "Hildi saying 'You gotta love him' to what Bucky was saying, and laughing. Got the crowd helping him sing this song. Crowd singing 'Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow'. Bucky says 'Thank-you!' (he just learned these.) He is so funny."

Think Steve Azar is about to launch into the funny "Catfish" tale. Crowd is said to be very much into the whole show tonight!

(Sounds like Hildi's phone might have gone dead...so the conference call has come to a close. Big thanks to Hildi and to everyone who made the call possible!)
