HAPPY JUST CALLED AND SAID HE SIGNED THE LABEL TODAY! THAT IS WHAT HE SAID!!!!!

(Edited to add a link to a new discussion thread here; our guess--just a guess, y'all--is that Bucky and company won't say which label until they've made a formal announcement with a press release and all the journalistic trimings. But one of our favorite journalists, Shawn Lewis, has much to say in that thread, including some very high praise from the GAC tour manager and a simple--but comforting--confirmation. "It's a great one...way to go, Bucky! You're on your way to the top, my friend! Awesome! Couldn't have picked a better one!" Enthusiasm is a beautiful thing...

Another bit from the thread (thanks dbrosch) : "A bit more news, 'Different World' is officially the first single, and Bucky isn't feeling well so lets all send him some positive vibes that he feels better soon." (Sending those good vibrations right now...)

A few updates from the Fox board threads: Bucky is apparently suffering from a flu bug, and he missed the second half of tonight's show--in fact, several of the performers are said to be under the weather. (Still sending those positive vibes...) The Jacksonville show, scheduled for the 20th, may be cancelled; we'll post official confirmation when that becomes available.

On a happier note, Bucky's label news is being greeted with much joy; Shawn Lewis went on to say "this label is pretty much the hottest thing going in Nashville", and he's expecting a major press splash. Definitely worth a little bit more waiting...
