Quick technically challenged update (and a great photo link)

Nashville Idols: Bucky Covington and Mandisa during Season 5 of American IdolNashville Idols: Bucky Covington and Mandisa in a "Behind the Scenes" photo from earlier this year.

(Yep--as you might have guessed from the rather intermittent posts, we're still suffering from severe technical difficulties. The most frustrating part is that MoondancerMN graciously sent a perfectly gorgeous new photo, and now I can't upload it to the blog! Please click here to enjoy the great shot that would have accompanied this post if things had gone as planned. Thanks, MoondancerMN--you'll see this one on the blog the moment we get our tech troubles straightened out...)

While Bucky's enjoying some pre-Thanksgiving downtime, it sounds as though there's lots happening behind the scenes. As he mentioned in the WRKO interview this week, his official website and fan club are in the process of being put together. (We're hoping for some brand new promotional photos to go along with it--the Idol portaits were nice, but we're guessing that Bucky's post-Idol shots will be as different--and as terrific--as his post-Idol sound.) It's safe to bet that the whole ball will start rolling right about the same time Bucky's first single is released--"just after Christmas" is the tentative time, but look for more solid dates as the label makes the final decision on which of Bucky's Nashville tracks will be the one. (And after that, it'll no doubt be street team time!)

Bucky will be back in Nashville in December. Will there be big news soon after his return to Music City? Stay tuned...the minute we get official confirmation of anything, we'll pass it along...

Saturdays are usually pretty peaceful news days, and today looks like another serene one--but last night's Rocky Covington and Swamp Cat show at the Carolina Grill show was, by all accounts, a wild and wonderful time. (Maybe they'll use this peaceful afternoon to recover?) The play-by-play thread is here, and it's full of interesting tidbits from the homefront, as well as a set list of songs that'll make you wish you were there. (Congratulations to Scooter on that awesome new amp, by the way!)

More soon--have a beautiful Saturday!
