Today's the big 29th! Here's wishing Bucky and Rocky Covington the happiest of birthdays. If you haven't already, you can leave a greeting for them at the "Happy Birthday Covingtons" MySpace; and you can also mark their birthday (and help a great cause) with a donation to Victory Junction. Where and how are the guys celebrating the big day? We're not sure, but we hope it includes lots of family, friends, good food and great music...
A fun find on MySpace today--who could resist a video entitled "Me Flippin' Out Over Bucky Covington"? The author of this cute blog was at a Sawyer Brown concert last weekend, and was genuinely surprised (and thrilled!) to see the night's Special Guest. As usual, technical difficulties are keeping me from actually watching this clip--if you can see it, please leave a note in comments and tell me what I'm missing! (And thanks to the author for sharing her excitement.)
Other than that, things are pretty quiet--but we do have the much-anticipated WGHP Bucky-in-Nashville story to look forward to on Thursday. (Ahhh, the joy of empty hands, filled at last.) Who knows what revelations that segment might contain? Fingers crossed that we'll come away knowing a little more about what the CD might sound like, when we can expect to unwrap it and crank up the volume up to 11, and what label it might be on. (Not that I'm obsessed with owning a full Bucky Covington CD or anything...)
Speaking of CD (and other) Bucky-related questions, a reminder that Mrs. Jones is still looking for fan queries for her upcoming interview with Bucky. From the looks of the overview on his "Artist News" page, a lot of the more pressing concerns (the official website launch, the release date) are already on the menu, so be creative...
And if you haven't popped into the photo contest pages at RockyCovington.com, head over there now--the voting is underway, and the photos are fantastic. (They're talking about the contest now over at the Fox boards. Looks like many of Rocky's fans are finding it hard to choose just one--or two, or three...)
More later today--happy birthday, guys!
Cute! Bucky was mostly dancing and singing behind Mark Miller but he looked like he was having the time of his life!
ReplyDeleteKathy, hi! Thank you so much...man, I wish we could have been there. Miss Bucky on tour--time for a new tour soon! :)
ReplyDeleteThe other video of him singing "Sweet Home Alabama" features a cute new lyric:
ReplyDelete"I hope Neil Young will remember, Bucky boy don't need him around anyhow."
Can't wait till tomorrow to see the Fox interview and lenslinger goodies.
Hi, Carol! That is too funny (although I actually think Bucky could put a pretty cool spin on "Mr. Soul", but never mind...)
ReplyDeleteI'm posting this everywhere tonight--don't want to leave anyone "Empty Handed":
WGHP Sneak Peek
Go now!
