A "Different World" for all of us...

Click this image to see the photo we wanted to run with this post...Well, until we can get official permission to run it here on Buckymania, we'll link you once again to the Show Me Center's MySpace blog, featuring a brand new and brilliant Bucky Covington promo photo. If you're interested in going to the December 4th GAC Country Christmas show there, here's the Ticketmaster page...hope you snag a seat right up front!

When a thread is entitled "Bucky's New Single breaking out on December Tour", you know it's got to be good. Thanks to Bucky's "Special Mother's" kindness, we have a title for Bucky's upcoming single; it'll be called "Different World", and it's also part of his setlist for the GAC Country Christmas tour. And what does it sound like? The first concert recaps--and the first reviews of the song--should be happening as soon as this coming week. Mrs. Covington says the song will "give you goosebumps", and compares it favorably to the very well-regarded "A Lot Like My Hometown." In that excellent Viewfinder Blues post from earlier this month, Bucky was quoted as saying "It really all comes down to a good song." Sounds like he may have found (and written) many good songs--a wonderful position for a new artist to be in right about now...

And speaking of several good songs, there's also a reassuring word from "Special Mother" about the timing of the CD--everything's pointing toward an January release, as previously stated. (You'll notice a few familar and welcome faces in that thread...) Also, if you're looking to meet up with some fellow Bucky fans on the road, the main GAC thread contains a handy who's-going-where list. Add your name and say hello!

Finally, if you'd like to win a seat to the Saginaw, Michigan show, the Dow Centre is giving away a family four-pack of tickets. Chances are good that there are more GAC concert contests on the horizon; if you didn't join the listener's club of your local country radio station during the Idol tour, it couldn't hurt to do it now! (Actually, it'd be a good idea to join up and get very familiar with your area's country outlets, with a new Bucky Covington CD on the way...more about that in a future post.)

Edited to add a link to RockyCovington.com, where the photo section has recently been updated with some excellent new shots. Be sure to check back later for the Q and A interview with Rocky, coming very soon. Also, a big thanks to Honeygirl for news links tonight!

See you in a little while...
