Quick update, 10/16

This elegantly casual image by Tracy is the twenty-first entry in our "Bucky Covington CD Cover Un-Contest", and it's guaranteed to raise a smile. Tracy uses a lovely parchment effect and a soft-white musical-notation frame to enhance Bucky's radiant grin in this Idol promotional portrait. (And who can resist that title--a clever, sweet shout-out to Mrs. Covington!) You can check out even more of Tracy's gorgeous graphics and art at her beautiful MySpace. Thanks again, Tracy!

A new set of terrific photos from Hugo's should be on their way soon--a kind fan at the Fox boards has begun a thread with a few cute shots from Friday already linked in her profile, and she says more from the night, and from Erin's Victory Dance, are on the way...

The Erin's Victory Dance home page has been updated with some great news:

Erin's Victory Dance Benefit was a huge success! Everyone had a great time!
Bucky Covington had the place rockin' with his amazing voice and a talented band.
The evening raised a total of $13,522.00 for The Victory Junction Gang Camp!
Thanks to all who donated and sponsored this benefit!
If you want to donate money to this cause you still can.
Just click the Tickets button to the right and click "donations".

Some beautiful memories from Bucky's fans who attended the benefit are turning up on the boards--this lovely recap gives a sweet sense of what must have been a magical evening, and those who were in on the conference call will want to read Lisa/letusjudge's account of what the fans who were there saw when Bucky and his bandmates serenaded the cellcerters from a balcony on that cool autumn night.

And last but certainly not least, don't let the brief title of the "Famous Bucky Quotes" thread fool you--you'll definitely want to follow this one as it grows. Many fans got to speak to Bucky over the weekend, and there are both funny and informative bits already posted. (We're especially intrigued by the second post--is there actually a bit of a bidding war for Bucky's services brewing in Nashville? We're not sure, and Bucky is wisely keeping details to himself right now, but it wouldn't surprise us in the least...)

More soon!
