Mysterious ways...(updated once again)

Edited to add an update from Happydays on the Country Weekly poll; she emailed the webmaster there, and his reply follows:

"Yes, the server is having some issues -- and, consequently, so is our updating of the Cyber Poll. The cutoff was yesterday afternoon, so any votes made after that point will not be counted, even though the old Cyber Poll remained active on the site. There was only one picture for space reasons. The official results will be published in the November 6 issue of Country Weekly, on sale October 23. Thanks for reading."

Yesterday afternoon--anyone recall how the results looked right about then? Guess we'll all be buying the magazine to find out for sure--ahh, sweet mystery. (But as Happydays mentioned in the thread, at least we can rest our voting fingers for a while. Hope this is the last time Kellie and Bucky are pitted against each other--they're both terrific.) Thanks for the heads-up, Happydays!

(Edited yet again--perhaps I spoke too soon about the voting-fingers getting a break? A kind commenter in the Chatbox mentioned this just-for-fun "duets" poll on the American Idol home page; if you've been waiting for the sheer musical delight of a Katharine McPhee and Bucky Covington collaboration, here's your chance to let your opinion be heard.)

And the thread about Bucky and Rocky's appearance at Hugo's on October 13th has mysteriously vanished in a puff of smoke from the Fox boards this morning. (Wonder why? I've given up trying understand why the mods give some topics the boot over there...) At any rate, the show itself seems to still be a go at the moment; it's probably best to check Bucky Country and RockyCovington.com for updates about the special Rockingham performance, or follow this thread, where the news was first posted by a very reliable source. (Setting a new editing record today--there's yet another thread about the appearance in progress as I type this. That thread was gone, but now it's back--if you're planning to go to the show, be sure to check there for some important info. Why would discussion of Bucky's post-Idol shows be a problem in a Bucky Covington folder? Anyone? Sigh. Bucky's own official site can't come too soon.)

Full post next--c'mon back!

Yes...these polls...annoying...but will look forward to seeing Bucky's name printed in Country Weekly. And too bad they did not have an option for peeps who planned to buy both...but that was not competitive enough I guess....the press does like to make things more cutthroat if they can. :O

Oh and on polls...another one with Bucky on front page of American Idol main site.

  3. Thanks! Just added it to the post.

And yes, it'll be great to see Bucky's name in the magazine. "Both" would have been a great option--better than "I'm all Idol-ed out"--but maybe they figured (correctly) that "both" would probably win in a landslide. Tons of mutual fans for those two. :)

And that AI poll--Katharine and Bucky as a duet team? Could be interesting...

threads gone and judge got banned, wonder why. Waiting to be reinstated. Another one started about hugos and also a birthday thread stated again. That one went poof also.

  5. Thanks for letting me know, and sorry to hear it. That is so strange...wonder why on earth they're doing that? Just doesn't make sense--it's a Bucky folder, and of course posters want to talk about what Bucky's doing now.

    Grrrr...

Absolutely LOVE Tracy's After the Storm cover! It's beautiful and those two "cover" songs would be so appropriate.

  7. It is, isn't it? Love the moody blue tones. :) And as far as those cover tunes go, those are two terrific ones.
