Catching up on the day...

First things first--it was a thrill to go to the grocery store today and see Bucky Covington's name and (cartoon) face smiling from the pages of Country Weekly! Something tells me this is the first of many times Bucky's name will be part of the proceedings there. If you haven't picked up a copy, please do--buying magazines that feature Bucky in a positive light--even if it's just a corner of a page--is a nice way to show appreciation. (And this is a pretty cool issue, anyway--there's a beautifully-photographed, Chevrolet-sponsored glossy calendar featuring 12 country notables and some great Nashville landmarks, along with a full-page ad for Kellie's debut album. Can't wait to see the ad for Bucky's...) A big high-five to everyone who voted in the survey, and congrats to Bucky!

There's a mention of the survey results over at MJ's comments section, too--both the original post and the vote-of-confidence response were fun to read. (And as an aside...no offense to cartoon shopping lady, but the original poster is far cuter than her alleged "artist's rendering".) They're talking about it at the official boards as well, and I see that a very kind Covington fan has posted a much better scan than my little fuzzy one. Other than that? Crickets, y'all. Other than a reminder about the ongoing drive for contributions to Victory Junction in honor of Bucky and Rocky's birthday, it's exceedingly quiet. (There is, however, a brand spanking new and fairly snarky Idol blog making a debut this week--heavy on the YouTube and very light--as in none so far--on the Bucky-related content, but that could change.) We'll see you here if and when something exciting happens...and we're hoping that means soon.
