Wheels on the bus...

(Photo by DeniseBernadette--click here to visit her beautiful concert gallery.)

First and foremost, be sure to read this incredible review of the show from a kind Fox-board Bucky fan who was fortunate enough to enjoy a meet-and-greet and a front row seat. (Congratulations, Happy--what an amazing night that must have been--and thanks for sharing the adventure with us at the boards!)

Thursday's Duluth show was laced with a bit of bad news--Kellie Pickler is ailing and will be on voice rest for at least three days, so the fun Bucky-and-Kellie duet and her popular set will be missed the next few nights. She did come out and wave to her fans, and according to this recap by a fan at IDF, she was visibly upset about not being able to perform when Bucky introduced her and explained the situation to the crowd. (Here's wishing Kellie a very speedy recovery--please, please stay healthy, y'all!)

There are plenty of fan reviews of the Duluth concert popping up, but it's a safe bet that this one at MJ's always-lively comments section will be the cause of a bit of talk today. (Bucky gets a very positive review from the snarky/witty poster, but that's not the part that got people buzzing...)

Unfortunately, there wasn't a repeat of that wild Coyote Joe's night after Thursday's concert--the Idols had a long drive to Florida--but LMBO is a must-hear band, according to everyone who's enjoyed them at the Idol after-party bashes. A rockin' soul/blues band of this caliber is well worth the trip, and hey--you never know who might turn up to sing along, yes? Here's their schedule via their MySpace Music page--maybe I'll see you there...

As for the rest of the Idol show, MJ's main page says it all--"The second half was awesome...the guys were playful and didn't seem to want to leave the stage..." Sounds like a good time was had in Georgia tonight!

Meanwhile, on Bucky's board at the Fox site, enjoy one of the funniest recaps ever, courtesy of the Richmond County Daily Journal's R. Shawn Lewis. (That thread took a rather hilarious turn, didn't it?) And Kathy at Team Covington has a flurry of photo links for you--including some cute meet-and-greet shots and a truly sweet photo of Mr. and Mrs. Covington after the Coyote Joe's party.

(My PC is threatening to crash, so I'll end with a link to the tour folders at the official boards and at IDF--both should be full of recaps--and with any luck, great photos--by the time you read this.)

Back soon with more--have a great Friday, everyone!

  1. I love the fan recap! That is what I always said the people don't get get how huge Bucky could be. I understand Colorado doesn't get him but he is like every guy I ever hung out with in my life around here lol

  2. You have a good point there, and so does the recapper--I think that maybe some of the "professional" writers have seriously underestimated Bucky's guy-next-door appeal. He is going to be bigger than most of those entertainment reporters expect--both for his beautiful voice that "Idol" didn't quite showcase as well as it should have, and for that ineffable something that just makes you root for the guy.

(I'm NYC born and Great Lakes raised, but my mom and stepdad are both originally from the South, and Bucky reminds me of all the sweetest (and funniest) qualities of my stepsiblings. Bet there are a lot of non-Southerners like me who really like Bucky and who will be there for his post-Idol journey...)

Someone posted the video of Bucky and Ace performing at Coyote Joe's on gofish.com but there is no sound! Boo hiss! He looks like he is having a blast with some cute dance moves. Hopefully one with sound will surface.

  4. Thanks for the heads-up, Carol--was so hoping that would pop up! Oh, well...even without sound, we can enjoy the moves. I'll post that link, and thanks!
