First things first--if you haven't already, be sure to check out Kathy's excellent post at Team Covington, in which she writes about the coming need for a good solid Bucky Covington street team. (An article in today's Detroit Free Press with a "catching up with the Idols" theme looks at the projects in the works for the Top Ten, but lumps Bucky, Ace and Mandisa in the generic "busy with the tour" category. It'll be fun to point to some concrete label news in a few days, won't it?)While we're waiting patiently for the 25th, the fans are certainly wishing Bucky all the best of health. There's a sweet "get well soon" thread in progress at the official boards that'll be printed out and given to him, according to a poster there--so hop on in and send him your best wishes...
And while you're there, enjoy this very funny story about Bucky, a fan, a parking ticket, and one of the most unusual autographs ever (with a photo in the writer's profile, no less.)
Another "just in case you missed it" link at IDF to some goodies created by a generous commenter at MJ's Big Blog--Bucky's Nashville performance of "Drift Away" is now posted at both YouTube and SendSpace.
Also at IDF, Mike/Sciortino11 posted yet another terrific photo-illustrated recap of his Columbus concert experience, including a meet-and-greet. (Some quite nice shots of Bucky, here--our compliments to the photographer.) There's a cute Columbus gallery from an IDF fan at Picturetrail, too.
Another kind IDF fan posted a link to her Milwaukee album at Photobucket--she met many of the Idols, including Bucky, when they arrived at the venue, and there are some fun concert shots there, as well. And still more--another fan's Nashville post includes links to photos of all the Idols (and their full names, which struck me as kind of cute), and two Quicktime videos.
Going back a little bit, a talented Elliott Yamin fan posted a link to his concert and aftershow photos from Sunrise; he'll have more media coming soon, so check his thread at IDF later this week for an update.
(I'll go ahead and post this now, but check back later for updates on Bucky's status tonight. Have a lovely Tuesday!)
Hi! Great links!! Blog question lol I was going to change my template and when I go to pick the same one I have in blue it says this will change your template (of course lol) and any customizations you have made will be lost. Have you ever done it? I was just wondering if that meant just change to the actual template or if my friends links etc would disappear? I'm "ascared" to do it lol
ReplyDeleteWell I tried and it does lol so I will wait until I have more patience hee hee
ReplyDeleteHey, sorry I missed you! Just got back home. :) Yep, as you found out, changing your main template wipes out all your customizations--but if you know a little HTML, you can just tweak the template you have and only the colors and/or fonts will change. (That's what I did with this one.) Let me know if you need any help with code, and I'd be happy to assist!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for linking the video of Bucky singing Drift Away, I've been looking all over for videos of Bucky. I went to the St. Louis show to see Bucky and he ended up being sick so I didn't get to see him preform. =[
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I love reading your Bucky blogs as well and seeing all of the pictures too. So, thank you, again. =]
Kels, I'm so sorry Bucky was sick for your show! That's a bummer--here's hoping yo can make it to another date, or that he's out on his own touring and makes a stop in St. Louis to do a whole show out there.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's my pleasure to find great links, believe me--thanks for the compliment and for stopping by!
Yes html and I usually end up in a knock down drag out fight lol but I am going to try to just mess witht he colors later. So if you hear a scream lol
